And then there is the whole "Don't tame animals unless you want to corrupt all games ever" glitch
There is a bunch of stuff in this video that I don't remember being in the game when I bought it on release. Of course I haven't touched it again since then sooo...
He should have mentioned the fact that the game would have been 10x better if they hadn't made it a kids game at the last minute.
I was always disappointed by the fact they removed the sea stage. Sure it's just a 3D cell stage, but you'd be a fish! And I'm okay with that. Also, because each stage is basically it's own game, I feel they never got to truly flesh any of them out. It just feels like they focused more on Space than any other stage. Cell is a simple 2D pac-man-esque game. Creature is fun but could have been made much less cheesy. Tribal is better than civilization but only because Civilization is just about massing the biggest army and rofl-stomping your opponents. Then Space. Although it is the most in depth stage, it still feels like so much more could have been done with it that wasn't. And the fact that you have to baby sit every single colony you make is just...god awful. I wanted space stage to be more like a 4X type game but instead all you get is a god hand game where your god hand is a flying space ship.
Spore has been one of the biggest disappointments for me game wise. I remember watching Will Wright present it for the first time at some game conference and I was so fucking excited. It looked amazing, I couldn't wait for it to come out. In fact it was one of the first games where I really anticipated its release. Then it finally came out and it looked totally different and the game play was not the same. They really dumbed it down for children it seemed. I was really disappointed. At least the space stage was still pretty fun. I feel like at first Wright wanted the game to be more like what he showed with the demo, and I think EA then stuck its big hairy dick in it and fucked it up.
I remember being super hyped for this game when they showed Robin Williams demoing it.
Creature stage was the best part of the game. The only part with replay value IMO. That and the space stage. Galactic adventures was cool, though.
I might reinstall it to play. I stopped the moment I got to galaxy.
I still wish they went back to improve the game or made a second one, it's so fun but it stil lacks so much that makes me not want to play it.
I only played cell and creature phases over and pver because they were the only fun ones to me. tribe and cities were so simple it was stupid, and space stage was basically PLEASE SAVE OUR ECOSYSTEM OH AND PIRATES ARE ATTACKING US PLS HELP

I know some parts were kind of lacking, but considering I never got to the center of the galaxy before the Grox blasted me apart, I kind of want to revisit it.
