So this painting is A3 irl, it was my final piece for my Intermediate 2 exam last year which I got an A for, I'm really proud of this piece. Because I don't happen to have an A3 scanner I'm showing a fairly blurry photograph but it's still decent, the detail is all there. Might get a better photo later.

haha, yeah it doesn't look realistic but it isn't really meant to be, you actually get marked down by the examiners if it isn't expressive enough so what I had in mind was just giving the impression of tone, colour and shape, texture was kind of relevant for the chess board surface but didn't matter for the cloth and cardboard
I think the text is a bit unrealistic but the box of cards is fantastic, looks really realistic but matches the style of the piece. The chess board is quite good but the pieces seem to be slightly at the wrong angle. Also the lines on the king's face are too bold. Other than that it's fantastic, and you should be proud. Maybe I don't come here enough but it's nice to see some actual painting going on round here.
