The PlayStation 4 reportedly has between 70 percent and 90 percent market share in continental Europe according to Sony's Jim Ryan. "We have a very significant market leadership," Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe President Jim Ryan told VG247. "Well, we have market leadership in every country in Europe, and have very significant market leadership in continental Europe. Extremely significant. I don’t think market-share’s any less than 70%, and frequently greater than 90% in continental Europe."
Ryan’s comments came the day after a barnstorming PS4 press conference at E3 2015 earlier this month, at which a Final Fantasy 7 remake and Shenmue 3 were both confirmed
Hm, I've seen more people with Xbones than PS4s. Then again I've only seen two people with xboxes...
Well lol, I have never seen an Xbox One or a PS4 in real life yet so there's that
Me, my bro and 3 of my mates all own xbox ones
Wonder what that makes the market share of Scotland at
I've seen a bunch of PS4's, own one myself.
Never seen anyone with an Xbone. I don't even know anyone with one.
I wonder what the market share for NA is compared to EU.
Though 70-90% is a massive market share if that information is accurate.
I believe it's about even in the states.
I've only seen one of the new consoles here in Denmark, and it was an Xbone - still VGchartz numbers are totally backing them up on this one, so it's probably true. In NA it's closer to 1:1. The Xbone is primarily trailing behind because of PS4's performance in Europe and Japan (where the Xbone might as well not exist at all).
I know a lot of people who are console gamers, but i only know one who have a xbone. Though he is a massive call of duty fan so he fits fine with the xbone demographic.
I've only seen a Xbone owned by my brother (No PS4) but I suppose I do stay with the PC game crowd pretty much all the time.
I have a PC
:>
only 2 of my mates have PCs with the intention of gaming
and thats about it. I still have a PS3 and a PS2 even...
This kinda makes me sad, I mean it's cool someone is successful, but man I think the WiiU deserves it more.
Anecdotal nothingness:
I have so much fun on my WiiU with friends. On the flipside, my brother got a PS4, got bored, sold it, bought an Xbone, got bored and started playing PC games. Eh, imo the PS4 and Xbone have literally nothing to offer.
edit: hey at least I acknowledged my anecdotal nothingness was anecdotal nothingness...

His loyalties are a bit derpy seeing as CoD favors the PS4 now. I guess that fits the CoD demographic too.
All the console gamers I know still own the old gen consoles and that's it, and I live in a very rich area, we can afford this shit.
Xbox only launched in like 5 countries at first so I'm not surprised
Personal anecdotes: the thread.
Us Europeans knows what's good.

Yeah and its PC!
True masterrace here in Netherlands and in Germany.
wait fuck

The people I know who owns a xbone bought it purely for Forza.
The rest of their games are for their PS4 (if they own one too) or PC.
There is a problem with XLive not really supporting half of the european countries, so that's why people went with PS3 a few years ago. Maybe the same is happening now?
I know one guy who got an xbone at release, talked to him several months ago and he said that most of his friends that got it at the time sold theirs.
As reported by Sony.
But idk, Microsoft has been backpedaling on the Xbox so long I can really see ps4 making headway but I think in the next year ps4 is going to loose share to microsoft
I've only seen people with PS4 and i have several friends with PS4 as well

Makes sense then. Wonder what it's at now tho, when the hype/anti-hype has died down a bit.

Sony's always had a very very strong presence in EU, since the first PS1.
I know bunch of people who bought Playstations for their kids, and they don't even know what Xbox is.
No shit
A bunch of features on Xbox are exclusive to NA and a lot of other countries aren't even supported.
Last week in Administration class my classmates laughed at me because they said no company could achieve a market share that's +70%
To my classmates: Sony it up.
WII U WII U WII U
PS4 is the only console of this generation I don't have (so far). Not counting Ouya, of course.
Europe sure loves their FIFA machine
