Wow this picture is actually very relevant for this game if all the DLC things are true.
It is pretty hard to disagree, i dunno why i come back to destiny.
The moment he starting doing that voice at ~2:10 any desire I had to keep watching just evaporated.
if he is right about the PC version, which is most likely going to come out, I might as wait to see if that one is good.
People are always assuming that the game cost 500 Million $ but a HUGE part of it is just for advertising and marketing. It seems that actually stuff like this got so much more important than the actual quality of a product.
Huh, I was wondering why people were so excited about Destiny, I guess it was Bungie's name after all.
People are always assuming that the game cost 500 Million $ but a HUGE part of it is just for advertising and marketing. Ad campaigns that eat half the budget so the launch is as big as possible, season passes, preorder boni and dozens of special editions, sometimes even news of future decisions like sequels/cutting staff after the first bulk of sale numbers are publicized. Could even add token multiplayer to that list in some cases, 'cause multiplayer participation generally only declines as a game grows older. Pretty crass difference to how many titles on Steam sell for example.
I think his friend is done... In all seriousness though, this really doesn't look like a game that came out of the legendary creators of Halo. The main reason to me is that there is even a progression system, I mean it's so opposite to what Halo games were all about it just seems fucked up.
It seems that actually marketing got so much more important than the actual quality of a product.
Yup, while the visuals and music are really awesome, the rest of the game is really mediocre. I actually regret buying this game because i was sold purely because bungie made this. But i hope that this game can redeem itself.
So it is like F2P game gameplay wise aka super grind and all that but isn't F2P?
It really sounds like they can change a lot in a few patches that he found wrong with it.
Didnt get the hype, and glad so. Got to play for an hour. Gave it a chance but its rubbish and boring. In no way can i justify or identify where all the money was spent. Except for the massive marketing ofcourse.
I knew Destiny wasnt going to be that good. The soundtrack is good though.
It really sounds like they can change a lot in a few patches that he found wrong with it.
I doubt they'll patch in better level and mission design, better voice acting, and a story that you can follow.
It's a game I really enjoy playing but also disappointed by a lot of things and can see the gaping flaws.
Loved when the girl appears then leaves and Joe just says "Fuck it. I'll do my own ending" and edits a nuclear explosion. :v: Joe never fails to impress when the reviews come out in full detail. Good thing I have Gamefly so that I may rent this game and then buy it 10% cheaper.
Destiny also looks very empty, looks likes a bunch of rocks and a tower every once in a while.
How much does Joe fuck do you think he fucks before and after a review as a buffer
Looks like the old Bungie is dead and buried. Just like Westwood.
Does anyone actually have some solid evidence that more of the content was removed because of Activision?
Its looks like Warframe but on a bigger budget, both have annoying as fuck grinding with rng and terrible storytelling.
The part with Cryptarch and the limited guild made me laugh more than it should've, although the limited guild part is sort of an "isolated" issue, most people will be fine with this size.
I mean, when the average user (His friend) can be driven to give up due to drops, something is fucked. Everything I see of this game outside of the gunplay is hugely boring, like, incredibly so.

Activision struck a deal with Bungie for a new IP and invested 500 million in it. Doesn't mean they literally threw a pile of 500million dollars at bungie for Destiny.
So...it looks like borderlands but without a basic understanding of established loot tables?
