Hi. So ive had my learners for awhile and I go to take my driving test monday. Ive been nervous because I know lots of people who fail and they way it works in maryland is you have to make an appointment. So if I fail it could be several months before I can take it again. Maryland also makes you take driving school which I have done, and you spend several hours in the car with an instructor.
She didnt yell at me to much the second and 3rd time. The first time I drove like I normally do... (California Stops, 5-15 mph speeding, ect :P ) the second and 3rd time I drove like perfect... Exactly on the speedlimit. 3 second stops ect.
I can parallel park real good and MANOVERRRR the car.
I like driving and enjoy it, and I consider myself pretty good.
Sometimes under pressure Ill get nervous and make stupid mistakes... Im afraid ill fail over something dumb...
Any tips/advice?
You'll be fine.
I'd be more worried about making sure that you have all the ID that you need to bring to the DMV than the actual test.
Just drive like a grandma and you will be okay.
I don't know about Maryland but remember to come to a full stop before turning right on red! Here in MA they get tons of people on that.
Be sure to hit as many pedestrians as possible, it gives you bonus pass points.
Don't crash.
If an animal gets in the road, you have to run it over. If you miss it, back up and try again.
before the test begins, ask the instructor how to raise the altitude.
I wish I could manover a car.
I wish you could spell.

I do too :(
I won the driving test.
I think I seduced him with my sexy MANOVERING of my car...
But seriously you guys gave some good advice :)
California's was easy. The only thing that sucked was that I could feel the driving test guy's hatred for me, just because my car was a Porsche. It felt like he was taking off points just to spite me D:

I was thinking about that earlier... "What if someone did this test in a Porsche or Ferrari? Probably would piss him off."
I have a 97 Honda Accord I bought for $200 off an uncle whos going blind. Not bad... but certainly not great.

My test was piss easy. It consisted of putzing through a suburb. I never got over 45MPH and only encountered one stoplight on the entire drive.

If I were the tester I probably would have been all "...ok, look, this road's empty, so if you want to uncork it a bit I won't take any points off. Let this nice-ass Porsche breath, man!"

You have to do about 120 hours on your Ls here, and you can't apply for the next level until you're 18 in Australia (victoria).
Oh well, at least we have low tax and free healthcare.
