Man, this reminds me of the old Dan-Ball "powder game" so much.
Wow that's some meticulous construction. Why does it keep crashing?

Every time I see a video with OE Cake or any of those powder based games I lose hours out of the week redownloading and dicking around in the programs. So fun to make useless shit.
I used to have one downloadable engine with a bunch of cool "item properties" packs and i'd make weird steam contraptions, or giant cycles of material / factories and stuff.

The timing mechanism in the left piston wasn't quite as well made so it would occasionally cause the engine to jam. It blew up at the end because I was so happy that it finally finished the track that I decided it should go out with a bang.

If you're interested in trying out OE-Cake again I just released a download with 29 pre-made OE-Cake creations, from bombs to aircraft to some very strange stuff in between.

And I know it's probably been a while since anyone has played it, but the best site to learn the controls and hidden techniques (like the way I built the steam engine) and fix any startup problems is here:
