The gist of this thread is to post a movie that you really like, and to recommend movies to people based on their choices. Kind of like netflix taste preferences, but not retarded.

I always say this but, I really liked the movie Mr. Nobody.
I adore Die Hard.

I love the movie Taken, because I am a major Liam Neeson fan and I really like action movies.
Taken is a movie about a man who is separated from his daughter from a divorce, and as a birthday present, he reluctantly allows her to go to Europe. His worries for his daughter come to fruition when she is "Taken" by someone who breaks into the apartment she was staying at.
So badass.
I want to find movies that have that cyberpunk feel like Bladerunner and Deus Ex.
Clerks - This low budget, piece of crap movie (since the budget was under $30,000 but I totally love this movie) became a very successful comedy cult classic in 1994, and marks Kevin Smith's debut in the directing business. The story is a very great story, and while you watch this movie remember this, 37. Go watch it now and many of works of Kevin Smith

Try 'Strange Days', watched it last night for the first time in 10 years. Awesome film.
Some of my favorites: Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale
Recommendations: A bullet to the skull
Try to find me a movie that's like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
I have a recent craving for UK gang/crime movies after seeing Sexy Beast and Snatch.
Any other British badassery I should know about? I like the gritty feel and clever wit, with the UK 'charm'.

The obvious have been said.
You will also like In Bruges, a lot less gritty but more a hilarious one.
I've been in the mood for a movie about future totalitarian states. Anyone know any good sci-fi/alternate history movies about that kind of stuff?

If you're going to recommend a movie at least tell us a bit about it. Just saying a title won't do much.
