• CCC On Our Channel

Hey! My friend owns a channel called ItzGamersAnonymous, and we all come together to make all sorts of game-related videos. While I'm not here to completely advertise, I would like some feedback on our channel. We often ask viewers to give us come complaints, comments, or criticisms on the videos, though we have a very small viewer-base, so this doesn't work out very well. We fully realize that gaming channels on Youtube number into the thousands, so we're really not trying to "make it big" (if such a thing even exists on the internet). We'd just like some thoughts and ideas thrown at us so we may better improve upon the channel for the viewers we do have. Here are the links to a few videos. What do you think of the video editing, the quality, the intro, or the coverage? What could we improve on, and what would you as a viewer (not necessarily of our channel, but in general) like to see from a small channel like this? sidenote: I'm not actually a huge part of the channel, I'm just friends with the owner. He didn't post this because he's scared of Facepunch :v:
Scared of facepunch? Why? I hate to bring you or him down, but it's not that great. Let's face the facts that LPs are a ridiculously overdone mechanic and these videos add nothing new to the table.
lets plays are shit
We are well aware that LPs are mass produced. We're not a business trying to make a new and innovative product, we're a channel for people who enjoy watching us, who wish to better our channel.

We gave you feedback on how to better your channel, and you chose to disregard it.
You gave absolutely no feedback, sir, besides that it isn't much different than other LPs. That, and "LPs are shit". See, this is why he doesn't post on Facepunch. Everyone comes off as so hostile towards anything they don't enjoy.

I don't understand this community, I really don't. I try to be as nice as I can and ask for simple feedback on the quality and video editing on videos, and all I get is a bunch of nerd rage and dumb ratings.

It clearly seems you're upset that these videos didn't get the reaction you wanted, but that's just the honest truth that you need to understand.
I'm not upset that the videos didn't get a good reaction out of anyone, I didn't expect this to go over very well in the first place. I tried to state from the get-go that I know that there are tons of LPs on the web to try and avoid this argument/discussion. I'm not asking for feedback on the LP genre of games, I'm asking for feedback on the quality of the videos.

Your voices lack any sort of soothing quality that would want someone to continue listening. The first 30 seconds of an LP is the most important part of your video. Why? Because that's how long it takes for your average video-surfing bumpkin to draw a conclusion on whether or not he should give a damn about your channel. When I spent my 30 seconds on the Tera video, all I got was two guys with dull voices softly breathing into their mics while talking about dull PvP mechanics of the MMO. Fuck, you guys even lacked any sort of chemistry, which is vital for a two-person LP.
Alright, that helps, thank you. I'll forward that to them.

A good LP maker has something new to bring to the concept of LPs, whether it be humor, gimmicks, or something else. These videos contain none of these, and as such become no better than the thousands of other LPs out there on youtube. Quit being upset over someone's honest opinion, stubbornness is the greatest downfall. My suggestion would be to move to something other than LPs, because it's clearly not working for this channel.
It's not even my channel, I'm not trying to be stubborn (does anybody?), so I'm not sure why you're implying that I'm insulted by negative opinions of the channel. I do see your point, in that nothing is added that sets this channel apart from anything else. I'll talk to Rain about it.

No one is gonna click on a 38 minute video with nothing that entertaining inside of it to watch. Why would anyone want to watch you over any other generic youtuber?
Here is some advice: Don't use an intro
No intro? That's an interesting criticism. Why?
No intro? That's an interesting criticism. Why?
Waste of time.
Waste of time.
+1
Few criticisms: Yes, the intro is unneeded, as has been stated. An audio intro of themself is a better way to start, but an actual intro is not really catching enough more than half the time. The voice that is speaking, in the TERA video at least, was very nasally which can get grating, especially when the video is longer than 5 minutes or so. Unedited footage is typically boring to watch as you'll only really get a few really good bits out of around a half hour of footage. Personality is key to a successful LP, but it seems like they just discuss the abilities/what is going on in the videos as opposed to having some sort of overarching discussion about the game. That's my two cents, anyways.
