TRAILER: This may be one of the bloodiest animations I have ever watched.
I found the full movie if anyone wants to watch it.
I found the full movie if anyone wants to watch it.
I was going to post that in the OP, but I thought that it would ban me for warez.
Also available on Netflix DVD, if you don't want to wait for Youtube Buffer-times.
What the fuck. Okay. I have to watch this
This was fucking hardcore for a six year old me. Not to say that I didn't learn to love it eventually, that is.
I remember seeing this film as a young and impressionable child, in comparison to a lot of the movies aimed at younger audiences today, I'd say children in this decade have a lot less nightmares and mental scarring to deal with. Seriously, some of the shit in this flick is fucking brutal when you're 4 years old watching this at your nan's house after Sunday lunch!

I think it was 7th grade or so we had to read the book for school and then we watched the movie afterward. It IS pretty brutal, I recall rabbits beating each other to death on multiple occasions.
it's funny how this movie was just as disturbing to me as a child as alien. i even had a quasi understanding of the fact that the movie alien was one metaphorical rape scenario after another. [editline]1st December 2012[/editline] but then again just the sight of darth vader on screen made me cower in fear so...
I hate to be this guy, but as a child I thought nothing of this movie. I watched it and I liked it. But I didn't own it and watched it maybe once.
We had somebody come to our Uni from the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification). They said this is the film they receive the most complaints about due to the "violent" content. She said she's surprised people are still buying it in such large quantities and so many complain.
I think if I remember right the book might have been even more brutal.

This fucking movie. I'm pretty sure my mind made me suffer from amnesia, because I can't remember it much at all, but I know for a fact I watched it three or four times (because of my older sisters). It fuelled my nightmares for ages.
But oh god it is amazing if you watch the non brutal parts.
There's even a T.V. show back in 1999.
hi absolutely LOVE the tv series and movie, my first username online was HazelRah even.
david lynch should have done the tv series. actually he already kinda did something like this. it had anthropomorphic bunnies. or mice or i forget.
I'm reading this book right now, actually. I don't want to click on any of those videos. I want everything to be one bloody, terrible surprise. Just finished part one. I thought the second warren was pretty well done. My trust in Fiver has been solidified. Also, nobody should answer this, but what about Strawberry's kids? Anyway. Edit: Just heard Holly's and Bluebell's story. All I can say is damn. Just, damn.
Could somebody who's read the book please describe it to me? Like how it differs from the movie.
Could somebody who's read the book please describe it to me? Like how it differs from the movie.
The book is very dark, goes into a lot more detail. The movie is still pretty grim, but the book is still even darker. The TV series is.. not dark at all, edited for kids. Season 3 of the TV series is where it starts to get dark. Also blackberry is a girl :v: There aren't many differences other than the level of detail.
just watched it, was pretty bad for a kids film but not the "bloodiest animation I've seen" pretty interesting though I'll have to look at the book
Just finished the book. Wasn't too violent. At least, I was expecting it to be a whole hell of a lot worse. I think that one series by Brian Jacques is worse, both in terms of story and violence. It was a great book. I recommend it. I almost started envisioning the scenes with humans, because that's how well written the characters are.
im not sure thats even ment to be a kids film, kinda like fritz the cat is not a kids film, looks more like one of those 70s anti-goverment rants
I wouldn't say it's anti-government. It's more about environmental issues fucking up the livelihood of other animals. You could maybe say Efrafa is supposed to resemble a government, but it's a fascist, totalitarian government.
also selling movies like this on the gore cheapens the experience for a lot of people there's more going on for this movie than the gore, which really isn't that bad. don't tell someone to expect one thing and have their expectations be completely wrong entirely. it's better to not have them expecting anything. just tell em it's a movie about bunnies.
Personally, I think the violence was realistic. They're bunnies in the wild-- they're going to get into fights. Near the end is pretty violent, but again, there's a reason for it. For example, in Redwall and the rest of those books, the violence is always really over the top. You have almost sadistic descriptions for almost no reason.
I remember watching part of this. Jesus christ it was fucked.
