Definitely not stolen from the movies section. Metallica's St. Anger, Load & Reload [img_thumb]http://ranger.gamebanana.com/img/ico/sprays/st_anger_copy.jpg[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://matthewmcgee.bravehost.com/ReLoad.jpg[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/fi/thumb/9/9f/Metallica_-_load.jpg/252px-Metallica_-_load.jpg[/img_thumb] King Crimson's In The Wake Of Poseidon [img_thumb]http://images.uulyrics.com/cover/k/king-crimson/album-in-the-wake-of-poseidon.jpg[/img_thumb] Emerson, Lake & Palmer's In The Hot Seat [img_thumb]http://www.progarchives.com/progressive_rock_discography_covers/94/cover_1025101112008.jpg[/img_thumb] Pink Floyd's The Final Cut [img_thumb]http://cdn.pitchfork.com/media/6308-the-final-cut.jpg[/img_thumb] Well, start posting! (also, if the first 5 posts do not include one by Akayz, you all get a winner)
A lot of the fans didn't like this album, because it was way really electronic. Personally I fucking love it. One of my favourite albums ever.
Death Magnetic And I'm sure Akayz already made this thread
Death Magnetic And I'm sure Akayz already made this thread
Well, I tried searching and didn't find it, so I apologize if one does already exist. Also, I thought Death Magnetic was considered a good album?
I know lots of people on Facepunch hate it.
I know lots of people on Facepunch hate it.
Odd. I have only heard positive things about it from FP.
Meh, I distinctly remember people complaining about Metallica selling out and Death Magnetic being rubbish.
Its a bit weird saying that, since its pretty much a return to the roots.
Meh, I distinctly remember people complaining about Metallica selling out and Death Magnetic being rubbish.
It was certainly horribly mixed.
Death Magnetic was pretty good, definitely better than St. Anger.
It was certainly horribly mixed.
But the music was great and that is all that matters.
I don't care anymore. I love it and I know people who hate it. I vote that we move on.
Honestly I would have thought lots of the fans would be glad they released it. It's a return to their 80's sound and most fans far prefer the 80's stuff the the 90's. It means it's more likely their next album will be a thrash metal release.
I remember you were one of the ones complaining. Am I in a different universe or something?
The Final Cut. I dislike Rog, but it's still a helluvan album. And yes, I consider it his solo album.
Huh I don't think it's a great album but it's pretty good. Everything after RtL is boring to me though.
Also, Come Clarity, in terms of reviews on metal forums. Fucking inflexible mofos.
Come Clarity is brilliant :smith:
I also enjoy Come Clarity, even though I don't listen to that kind of music alot.
Metallica's St. Anger [img_thumb]http://ranger.gamebanana.com/img/ico/sprays/st_anger_copy.jpg[/img_thumb]
As soon as I saw the thread title I knew that was going to be posted, and I haven't even heard it. :v:
As soon as I saw the thread title I knew that was going to be posted, and I haven't even heard it. :v:
I think you should. Its pretty cool when you think about it.
I'm not a fan of Metallica, at all.
Death Magnetic And I'm sure Akayz already made this thread
death magnetic is an extremely great album considering how long metallica has been away from the thrash scene
But the music was great and that is all that matters.
Only album I have ever listened to that I couldn't listen to because the mixing made it such a muddied mess, it was really awful to listen to.

People don't like Plastic Beach? Last I saw, it was really really popular. I've never given it the time, personally.
From what I heard, a lot of people thought it was very lazy and unpolished, that they were trying too hard to create a successful album rather than let it come naturally.
Going a flick through the tracks, listening to chunks of different songs Lol this is rubbish actually from what I'm hearing Suggest me a track to listen to all the way through
Everyone I know hates this album. I actually quite enjoyed it.
Going a flick through the tracks, listening to chunks of different songs Lol this is rubbish actually from what I'm hearing Suggest me a track to listen to all the way through
I mainly enjoyed the singles from it, "On Melancholy Hill" and "Stylo". It's not a bad album, just not as strong or even as good as their previous efforts. self titled 4 lyfe oh and "Empire Ants" is nice too
