I hope Cuomo loses. The idiotic policies the incumbent politicians have been pushing through in New York are why I have no plans to ever visit the state, and will actively avoid it if I can.

I doubt this will have any effect on anything. Astorino is 28% points behind in the polls, Cuomo is above 50% favorability and about 3 quarters of people have no idea who the hell Zypher Teachout is. More importantly no one knows/understands/cares about Moreland. Cuomo has nothing to gain from debating so from a purely strategic point of view it's a good move.

Cuomo is a moron who has been a leading cause of decline for the state. The problem with NY politics is that NYC is part of the state. Their culture is worlds apart from the culture of upstate NY and because NYC has so many people it affects the outcome of the elected officials. Most of whom have no idea what is good for NY state as a whole. This is why I believe that it has come to the time where NYC needs to become it's own entity so that it can no longer affect Upstate NY governance.

You are hurting Rochester and Buffalo, and bending your ass to the tourist attraction city.

I am fairy certain Cuomo does not even care about the places outside NYC.. I'm from Western NY and live outside buffalo. You can feel how he doesn't care about buffalo much.

Duffy's not even going to run with him as Lieutenant Governor which was one of the few reasons to support him from someone living in Upstate. I just hope whoever wins will actually start paying attention to up here.
