Washington (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump plans to repeal a raft of President Barack Obama's executive actions in his first day in office, Trump's incoming White House press secretary said Sunday.
Sean Spicer, Trump's incoming White House press secretary, said on ABC's "This Week" that Trump will immediately "repeal a lot of the regulations and actions that have been taken by this administration over the last eight years that have hampered both economic growth and job creation."
This is not new, he said this time and time again. He wants to fuck up everything Obama has tried to achieve.

Its like he purely wanted to become president to fuck up Obama's legacy. :v:
If that doesn't say he is a sociopath, i dont know what will.

i think that's the MO of the entire republican party, don't really think Trump is to blame here
It will be interesting seeing Trump as president the coming years.

Considering his policy seems to end at "remove democrat", it will be interesting. We chose the fucking wild card.
Yeah it's gonna seem like a really great idea until the economy tanks, hundreds of thousands are left without insurance and all the people that voted for Trump are completely fucking dumbfounded.

Very likely, though this could end in a very Carter-esque situation where people realize they picked someone who was wildly incompetent.
Although I'm pretty sure anti-establishment Carter supporters weren't basically a cult. The 2020 election is going to be very interesting either way at this rate.

carter established and pushed for consumer and labor rights that the US working class still rely upon
he's seen as incompetent because of corporate propaganda
Jimmy Carter is fantastic

He's one of my namesakes.
Jimmy Carter is a good person who was dealt an unfortunate presidency.
I've always saw the Iran thing as being bad, but overall everything else he's done has put him as being better than all modern presidents besides JFK and Obama.
too busy dreaming up how to totally fuck everybody over to sort out his business connections that ARE in violation of the law, or release his tax returns i see.

I worded that very poorly, I apologize.
Carter was seen as incompetent by many Americans, due to his inability to end the hostage crisis in Iran, people being pissed off about the energy crisis, slow economic growth, inflation, etc. I personally don't think he was a bad president, but many others did and still do.

America then voted for a dude that committed numerous counts of treason before and during his presidency and skated away to become a christ-like figure for the GOP. Reagan paid the Iranians to not release American hostages until he won.
I doubt he'll be able to immediately undo all of Obama's work from day one, there's gonna be a lot of resistance from all sides even with a Republican-controlled house. Also, funny how he talks about undoing the "damage" done by Obama but doesn't once mention the notion of undoing the mass surveillance or privacy violations done against Americans.

I dunno, bush was elected for not one, but two terms
and he was pretty fucking incompetent. even if republicans hate the president, they'll still vote for their side in the end because both sides are so wildly different in almost every way. same with democrats.
they'll blame democrats
guarantee it. when it happens it will be everyone's fault but that of the party with the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government under their control.
Well, I remember what happened the last time the GOP had majority in all 3 branches of government, and I know what happened the one time it happened before that. Neither time was good. At all. It isn't even subjectively bad, it was just bad.

Bush had a first term approval rating average of 62% which on it's own is quite good and ran a campaign against a pretty flat Kerry. If Trump convinces enough people that he did a good job his first term and Democrats nominate another uninspiring candidate he can win a second term.

First we need to get off the train that Bernie could possibly run for president in 4 years. He will almost be 80 if he does manage to win the election.
Just need to find the right person to do it without it being a shit show.

Bush was reelected because Kerry was unappealing and he kind of rode the wave of post-9/11 patriotism. Carter didn't really have factors like those in 1980.

Carter was a democrat Trump, he was pro-workers and not pro-corp like Trump and ended up making an enemy out of the Dems like Trump did the GOP.
But Trump has the money and cult of personality to fuck the GOP and Corporations over if they don't bend to his will.
Carter was a good man.

Carter was really just president at the wrong time. Reagan's infinite band-aid solutions (also known as supply-side economics) were more appealing to people in 1980. Hell, I'd say Trump has more in common with Reagan than Carter, right down to the campaign slogan.
I'm betting he won't do jack shit. I feel like he's gonna change his mind like he has about a ton of the shit hes been spouting since day one

would you bet your life on that?
