Claims legalising same-sex marriage will lead to sweeping education reforms are "patently ridiculous", Education Minister Simon Birmingham has said after the release of the first national TV ad from the No campaign. The ad, shown on commercial TV last night, features four women opposed to same-sex marriage and focuses on concerns around the impact of same-sex marriage on children. "School taught my son he could wear a dress next year if he felt like it," one says, while another claims year 7 students are being asked to role play being in a same-sex relationship. It was commissioned by the Coalition for Marriage group, which is led by the Australian Christian Lobby. The ad has prompted Senator Birmingham, a moderate Liberal who supports same-sex marriage, to criticise misleading claims. "It is patently ridiculous to suggest that allowing same-sex couples to marry is somehow going to see some new wave of teaching reform sweep across the country," Senator Birmingham said. "That's just not going to happen. This is a simple issue, and it should not be conflated with other issues."
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-08-30/education-minister-simon-birmingham-denies-same-sex-marriage-wo/8855692
you can say no but if you do then you're a cunt
So how's the inevitable compulsory gay marriage going to work? Do I have to find someone myself or are there state-assigned butt buddies?
So how's the inevitable compulsory gay marriage going to work? Do I have to find someone myself or are there state-assigned butt buddies?
you have to marry me, no excuses
"School taught my son he could wear a dress next year if he felt like it
How absolutely horrifying. At this rate, kids aren't going to get bullied at all! How will they build character?
Rubbish like this is a symptom of treating matters of civil rights as a debate where 'both sides have a point'. Can only hope the 'yes' vote wins out and we can put all this shit behind us.
that ad is disgusting
"School told my son he could wear a dress if he felt like it" SHUT IT DOWN
you have to marry me, no excuses
the man with 8 billion husbands/wives
"School told my son he could wear a dress if he felt like it" SHUT IT DOWN
i like that that's their biggest argument against marriage equality someone, somewhere, at a school, told someone they could wear a dress at some point DONT LET GAYS MARRY!!!!!!! [editline]30th August 2017[/editline] lady if your son wants to wear a dress, i got some news for you
If it weren't for the disgusting message these ads carry, I'd unironically love this. Extremely heartbroken people describe their PTSD-like experience of their child being told they can wear whatever they want. Some top notch unintentional comedy right there.
"School told my son he could wear a dress if he felt like it" SHUT IT DOWN
i wore girls clothing in kindergarten as dress up, everyone did it I still don't know what the big deal about it is tbh.
it also really sucks that an advertising company actually agreed to make this they obviously ignored www.saynotono.com.au
I'm sad my high school didn't offer Radical Gay Sex Education, that sounds much more interesting than "PERIODS AND STDS PERIODS AND STDS PERIODS AND STDS" regular sex ed.
Don't listen to these Gay Agenda Slaves, Australia! I saw a Gay once and it spread to me! Save yourselves before it's too late!
Don't listen to these Gay Agenda Slaves, Australia! I saw a Gay once and it spread to me! Save yourselves before it's too late!
it got me like 2 years ago man, where were you hiding?
It's sad that people fall for this effortless hate mongering.
"Widespread and compulsory." Ha, what? Compulsory? Find one single case, in the entirety of the world, of a democratic state government enforcing compulsory homosexual marriages. Seriously, one single instance of that occurring, and I'll consider believing that this video isn't just a really weird parody.
This slope is more slippery than my butthole, freshly lubed for my state-assigned husband.
Don't listen to these Gay Agenda Slaves, Australia! I saw a Gay once and it spread to me! Save yourselves before it's too late!
the gay liberal conspiracy, its like the liberal conspiracy but much much better dressed.

Fuck everybody involved with this. Preferably by people of the same sex as them.
It's the same old scaremongering that has been tried and failed against gay marriage in many other countries, because that's the only way you can campaign against it without admitting you're doing it on prejudiced grounds
it got me like 2 years ago man, where were you hiding?
Underground Bunker in Kentucky. I was careless and accidentally exited the bunker without my protective goggles on and my unshielded eyes witnessed a human male with a non-traditional haircut and a carrying bag. Needless to say, the Gaymma Waves infected my brain within seconds.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it but it feels weird that only females are present in this video. Otherwise fuckoffcunt, free country. People, and to an extent kids are allowed to decide how to be happy in life.
We have same-sex marriage since 2005 in the Netherlands, quite late if you ask me, but better late than never. And yeah, this is highly anecdotal, I know, but when I walk towards the supermarket to do the groceries I always walk across a playground. There I overheard two young boys talking to one another and one exclaiming that he had to ask his dads if the other could come over for dinner. In my time, whereas adults didn't really care too much about your sexuality, as kids we would mock you for having two fathers or mothers. So I can only be glad with such progressions that it has become a normality. To me the advertisement video is making a causation where there is none.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it but it feels weird that only females are present in this video
Because they're trying to target the easily offended "BUT THINK OF THE CHILDREN" mothers demographic
like it or not cunts, gay rights is unstoppable boys in dresses are going to happen so, get over it and stop being insecure and accept that people get the right to choice who they want to marry
We have had gay marriage for a few years now and honestly, you get used to the hetero death squads after a while
In countries with same sex marriage, parents have lost their right to choose. Haha what? Did you think you had a right (or ability) to choose your child's sexuality in the first place? Jeeeeesus Christ.
