I'm a bit rusty, don't really draw or illustrate much, so i'm in need of some critique on my current work.
Started this wolf earlier today, scanned it, brought it into illustrator and gave it a Live Trace to smoothen the edges and give it a nicer look.
I was originally trying to draw a lion (thus the feline nose) but looking at the direction I was going, it was looking more and more like a wolf, so I guess i'm sticking with that now.
(I'm working on a new nose btw)
I'm not doing much digital, freehanding it all in pencil and sharpie, scanning it in and putting pieces together.
(Ignore the lines going through the image)

I'm starting the jaw tomorrow, since I tried a while ago and terribly messed up.
Tell me what you think! Looking forward to feedback, i'll try and update as I go!
fix the lower jaw, it is not lining up with the perspective specified

That's what I thought looked odd too. Maybe a little too much chin..
EDIT:
I moved the snout down a bit, Pushed the lower jaw back, & gave it a new jaw line too, not sure if that fixed it.

I don't know how you expect to work well from a sketch like that, there's basically zero information in it, just a really terrible squiggly silhouette. In a sketch you shouldn't be concerned with being neat or whatever, sketches are for getting down your forms and proportions and composition and everything else in a loose way before you commit to anything.

And although you said to ignore the lines you've put over it, I feel compelled to tell you how stupid they are anyway

I'm free handing the majority of it. the squiggly lines are there to give me an idea of what I want the form to look like, but i don't know. It seems to be working fairly well, probably because i'm picturing it all in my head. Everything i'm doing is self-taught and i'm learning as I go.
Thanks for the feedback
Here's an update on my progress:

This is also the first piece i'm trying with this style.
Wait, you're free handing the majority of it?
What does that mean?

Free handing all the detail, just using the squiggly lines as some sort of guide. I'm free handing all of it, I should say that.
I don't know why i said majority :v:

the perspective on the jaw is still broken, image it as just 2 cuboids and you'll see that it's jaw is very broken
MUST MAKE INTO MAZE O__O
