It also takes place in the north, so almost everyone has northern accents. The beginning of the film says it's based on a true story, but it isn't really. If you haven't seen this film just go do it now. This is one of those films that get better every time you watch it. The acting, and the dialogue here is great. It's funny, heartwarming, sad, and amazing from start to finish.
I like the underlying sadness throughout the film. And the soundtrack is awesome as well.
If you've ever wanted to see a movie where everyone talks like Sarah Palin, this is it. Also a dude gets shot in the face so its pretty cool.

the wood chipper scene :ohdear:
One of the best films I've seen.
"Oh hey Margey!" [editline]10:51PM[/editline] "Jeez Margey." [editline]10:52PM[/editline] "Margey." "Oh Yaaah."
My favorite scene is when she runs into that one guy
Great movie, I haven't seen it in a while.
Really nice movie. "oh yaah" they must have said that like 50 times. [editline]02:42PM[/editline] 180 times 0.O
Great film. Loved everything about it. Even the countless "Jaa"'s!!! 180 to be exact, thank you Stathis.
Minnesotan's speak like that if they're from up north; in the smaller towns. Same with people from Wisconsin.
I thought this movie took place in Canada?
