Weird scene from Lost: Season 2 - General

Screen capped it from Episode 2 (Orientation) from Lost: Season two. I find it kind of.... different. Feedback? It looks like hes holding some kind of jar.

Yeah, it's kind of in context thing. Would have to explain what's going on.

Well from first glance, it appeared to be an unusual scene, I guess when you look at it deeply like you just did, it kind of loses the initial "shock value". I guess it's different for some people. Whats so weird about it? I think its the scene when the computer in the hatch is broken and he is holding the stuff that will fix it so Sayeed (if thats how you spell it) will tell jack something, cant remember what though.

The whole thing is that Desmond, the dude in the bunker with the doomsday clock, is trying to get stuff to fix the monitor, and Jack takes the jar from him ( filled with something I can't discern ) and demands to know more about what he is doing, and why he's at the bunker in the first place.
