• Has Anyone Had Experience with Denix Replicas?

I plan on getting a 1851 Navy revolver from them. Has anyone dealt with their products in the past? I have heard that they have made some pretty bad replicas quality wise but to anyone who has purchased the aforementioned gun can you please tell me if you had any bad experiences and to anyone else have you had any major problems with Denix? Here is a picture of the replica: [t]http://www.jastroarmory.com/sites/jastro2/uploads/1276905953816125.gif[/t] I made a new thread because I have not noticed another related to what I am asking.
I don't know about that specific model but after seeing shit like this I don't think i'd trust the brand: Look at that awful casting quality. I suppose if you're using it for acting or something and it's just going to be seen from a way's away it might not be too big of a deal.

I will keep waiting to see if someone has experience with that model. I heard some really bad complaints about the broomhandle though. Even Adam from Mythbusters dissed that gun and Denix in general.
I have a Denix Winchester. This one as they do a number of models. [t]http://www.bladesandbows.co.uk/ekmps/shops/bladesbows/images/mod.-66-carbine-designed-by-winchester-gun-metal-finish--5631-p.jpg[/t] The quality is not bad it is not just going to fall apart. I know that some of their replicas are really bad and will just fall to peaces but this one is probably their most sturdy.

If the quality is all round the same as this I wouldn't be too keen myself, but then that depends on its use and also what your paying for it.
I ordered a Maschinepistol-41 from them. It's a good solid reproduction. I'd buy it if I was you.
I'd be afraid to use that thing for fear it'd explode in my hand.
they're made from scratch and don't even have the parts to work
Well, I ordered it. I will tell you guys about the quality and other specifications when it gets here. Cheers.
The sad thing is that there aren't any affordable real alternatives to denix out there...
Well, I ordered it. I will tell you guys about the quality and other specifications when it gets here. Cheers.
Considering you have ordered here are a couple of things to keep in mind. Dry firing some of their replicas can cause them to break and fall to peaces. When it comes to revolvers I have heard that the barrel is not held in place and can fall out so you may have to superglue it in place yourself. This info only just came to mind but dry firing a revolver should be fine and having to glue the barrel in place is not really all that bad of a problem.
I have their double barreled sawn off shotgun. The hammers like to fall off if I dry fire it too often because the screws get loose, but theyre' easy to screw back in.
I have a good number of Denix replicas, mostly musket pistols, but also 2 revolvers and a blunderbuss. They are pretty high quality,
