Aspiring painter plans to Paint Dead Iraqi Children
CRAWFORD, Texas – Former U.S. president and aspiring painter George W. Bush amused even his harshest critics with his leaked watercolors of shower self-portraits and pets earlier this year.
In a recent exit interview with the former director of Bush’s public policy institute, James K. Glassman, Bush said that he was “surprised like a pheasant” when his “artworks went virus on the Internet,” but also hinted that he has more serious artistic ambitions.
“The dogs and cats were just things I did for practice. I’d like to use my paintbrush to express the pain and sorrowings that happen when you’re president,” Bush told Glassman.
The president candidly admitted that he sometimes feels “guilty” and “thinks really, really hard” about having “allowed the war in Iraq to happen to me and the American citizenry.”
“But not only that,” Bush added, “I think I feel the most sorry for the suffering of the people in Iraq. You know, the women and the kiddos all not knowing what to do after war.”
Bush said that he has been looking through old photos in preparation for a new series of “action still lifes” that depict the war with Iraq from the decision to go to war on September 10, 2001 until its aftermath today.
“I call them ‘action still lifes’ because there’s action, you know, but it’s a painting. It doesn’t move. So, all painting should be called still life.”
Although he has yet to complete any of the paintings, Bush said he plans to title the completed series “No Blood for Oil(paints)” after the popular anti-war slogan used during his presidency.
“I think it shows that I don’t take myself too seriously,” Bush grinned. “Plus I think the parentheses look cool. I like parentheses, because they’re like, ‘Hey, this word isn’t over yet. I got something to say.”

This is the first time I've seen the word "sorrowing" used in a sentence.
And I'm not sure it can be used as a noun like that.
Dictionaries say sorrowing is an adjective
EDIT: never mind I'm dumb.
Still an unorthodox choice of word tho

Though I do find it a bit ironic he wants to paint the suffering that he played a large part in causing
I don't know if ironic can be used there too btw

I don't see why not, it's a perfectly cromulent word

only "his leaked watercolors of shower self-portraits and pets earlier this year.", "what many consider the lowest point of his presidency, the war in Iraq.", "In a recent exit interview with the former director of Bush’s public policy institute, James K. Glassman,", and "the popular anti-war slogan used during his presidency." are facts according to the site

Maybe because he played a large part in causing it?

Oldest email account I have had since nine years old.
Maybe because he played a large part in causing it?
Ok? I know?
Doesn't make it less ironic.
(Again, if that's the correct word)
That double entendre in the title.
I'd have a beer with Dubya, seems like a decent guy outside of the presidency.
oh my god I missed hearing this dumbass speak. I can read it all in his voice too
