• Can I clean a pipe with non boiling water in a bag?

So I don't really want to boil water and risk having shit get stuck to the pot, and I thought maybe if i left it in a bag of warm water overnight and then just used a regular pipe cleaner it would work and I'd get smokable resin, would that work, or am I just being lazy?
Yes, put rubbing alchohol in it and shake it. The resin would not be safe though.
It'll be done in like 5 minutes if you shake it good enough, and have some rubbing alcohol. Try to use some hot water.
Fill the pipe with salt, and then put it in a bag with water. Shake for about 2 minutes. It will be fairly clean.

You rinse. Salt is fully water-soluble, almost moreso than sugar.
Awesome. Could I also just make it sit in there overnight after shaking? And would the harder salt damage my pipe? its a glass one hitter

If you are afraid of damaging your one hitter, just shake it away from a desk or whatever you might hit the bag on.
its been my friends piece for a year and he never once cleaned it, so yeah he probably did
Just try it and see what happens. If anything happens [you drop the bag and step on it] you buy another piece. You went a year without it, waiting to buy one would not kill you. [editline]02:08AM[/editline] Why are you do damn lazy? [editline]02:10AM[/editline] Ingredients: Table salt Water Plastic bag That's it.
I fail to see how this is being lazy, I'm saying shaking it and then leaving it overnight so I can get anything that didn't get knocked out with my pipe cleaner
It will not help. The salt will only break it up when it is being shaken. How about you try it and see what happens. If it is not clean, do it again or try another method. Sitting here and debating it is not cleaning your pipe. Besides, leaving it over night can cake the salt in which means you have to knock that out too. Just fucking try it.
Yes Mien Fuhrer
Well, did it work?
For future reference, a pot with res in it is easily cleaned as long as you clean it immediately after, while the pot is still hot.
Yeah, it worked. I did a mix of letting it sit and absent mindedly shaking it for about an hour while watching freaks and geeks, then used my eyeglasses screwdriver to scrape the huge globs out.

No water needed, just something to force it out of the other end of your pipe.
That'd probably work if it was cleaned often, but this hasn't been cleaned in a year, and i wanted to get it clean as new

What I do : 1- Put salt into the pipe 2- Drop the pipe into a ziplock-type bag. 3- Add rubbing alcohol (50% "works", 70% works and 95% works well) 4- Shake for a few minutes. 5- Rinse the pipe, throw away the bag. 6- Scrape (should be easy) the remaining resin chunks. 7- Re-rinse (if you want). [editline]06:19PM[/editline] Shall I add : Be gentle when scraping, I broke a pipe that way.
