While 15 people were injured and six killed, as is evident from the statistics of the German Police University in Münster, Westphalia. This was presented on Tuesday in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's Minister Lawrence Caffier (CDU) as chairman of the Conference of Interior Ministers (IMK). "Our police officers are not" thugs in uniform. "You are only obliged to the law and fulfill the task that we as a society to them, based on the rule of law," said Caffier. The German Police University raises annually for the IMK data on service use of weapons. In 2010, seven people had come by a police bullet killed and 17 people were injured. Overall, Germany has 37 times shot at people, 59 warning shots were fired. "It is gratifying that the tendency of all forms of firearms by police officers against persons is declining," said Caffier. It was important that the interior minister and interior senators showed the citizens that the police officers exercising their constitutional right of the monopoly of the state legally. The number of shots on dangerous, sick or injured animals fell - by about five percent on 8812 cases (2010: 9336). Edit - scratch that part about the Munich Putsch was out of time period ^_^
It's almost as if criminals can be apprehended without the overuse of firearms.

That is probably a lower number than any one of America's large cities. America doesn't collect data like that though, so I can't source that statement. If anyone does find a source though, please, prove me wrong.
It's almost as if criminals can be apprehended without the overuse of firearms.
What a world we live in.
No the police was replaced by the Wehrmacht.
There were three constituents of the police forces of the Third Reich: Ordnungspolizei (Orpo) "regular police" Kriminalpolizei (Kripo) "criminal police" Sicherheitspolizei (Sipo) "security police" (Gestapo) On top of which was the military increasing numbers. And the Wehrmacht was Land,Air and Navy combined. Wasnt really any pictures of Battleships sailing through the streets of Berlin stopping robbers etc? Edit - or storys of

That's good if they do.
lern 2 histroy
Learn to read all the posts I made.
He said 40s; the height of the second world war. You mention shit about Munich Putsch. [editline]11th May 2012[/editline] I'm proud to live in a country where beat officers don't carry guns. It's a nice thought, I'd imagine them being trigger happy if they did.
He said 40s; the height of the second world war. You mention shit about Munich Putsch.
yeah my bad, but i rectified the situation in a later post. :)
The US can learn a thing or two from Germany.
Yeah they should become a small European nation with a fraction of their population.
The US can learn a thing or two from Germany.
Guns are too ingrained in American culture and society.
Yeah they should become a small European nation with a fraction of their population.
I bet even IF the USA had a population of ~82 million it would still be higher. The USA generally has a higher crime rate per 100000 people. More crime = higher probability of the police firing their guns.
How many in the UK?
I'd love to the statistics for other countries too. This seems fantastically low.
Some countries such as Ireland would be in comparison ludicrously low, namely down to the fact that our officers don't carry firearms
