The series chronicles the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic under Chancellor Palpatine, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) under Count Dooku. Chronologically, the series takes place during the three-year time period between the films Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The original television series was produced by Cartoon Network Studios in association with Lucasfilm Ltd., and aired in 25 chapters from 2003 to 2005 Season One and Season Two/DVD Volume OneThe main storyline features Obi-Wan Kenobi being assigned to lead an assault on the planet Muunilist, with his apprentice Anakin Skywalker leading the battle in space above. Meanwhile, Separatist leader Count Dooku takes in the Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress as his apprentice and sends her off to assassinate Anakin. Anakin diverts his attention in the middle of battle to pursue Ventress to Yavin 4, where he manages to defeat her in a lightsaber duel, though only through the means of fear and anger, the path to the dark side of the Force. Surrounding this storyline are various different battles focusing on other Jedi and their clone troops, including: Obi-Wan Kenobi confronting the Gen'Dai bounty hunter Durge on Muunilinst Kit Fisto leading an underwater assault on Mon Calamari Mace Windu single-handedly destroying a seismic tank on Dantooine Yoda and Padmé Amidala rescuing Luminara Unduli and her apprentice Barris Offee on Ilum Ki-Adi-Mundi, Shaak Ti, K'Kruhk and Aayla Secura ambushed by droid commander General Grievous on Hypori [edit] Season Three/DVD Volume TwoThe story picks up directly from Anakin's defeat of Ventress and Obi-Wan's victory on Muunilist. With General Grievous emerging to claim victories for the Separatists, the Republic needs more Jedi Knights. After much consideration, the Jedi Council decides to promote Anakin to a Knight. Three years later, Anakin and Obi-Wan are assigned to a mission to the Outer Rim Territories to liberate a group of Nelvaanians enslaved and mutated by the Techno Union. Meanwhile, General Grievous leads an assault on Coruscant and, despite the best efforts of Yoda, Mace Windu and Shaak Ti, kidnaps Supreme Chancellor Palpatine for his master Count Dooku. Anakin manages to fulfill his mission, though he once again draws upon his anger, then sets out with Obi-Wan to rescue the Chancellor over Coruscant (as seen in the opening minutes of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I used to love watching this show in 2003-2004 I loved its mix of my two favorite Movies/Shows at the time Samurai Jacks Anamation Stylie and Gore and Star Wars's Storyline, I just thought the characters were badass the clone troopers were badass (Unlike in the new 2008 one when in every scene there being shot in the head) and the large scale battle scenes were just so cool with droid guts and clones being knocked everywhere by durge. I Just think they ruined it with the new shit-tastic CGI one.
Brings back memories.
Does anybody have that awesome gif where a clone trooper (likely ARC trooper) is kicking ass alone?
This was so awesome. Why did the new one have to be such a disappointment? :saddowns: I went to see that movie the day it came out, I was so pumped. I left the theater just thinking, "What the fuck was that shit?".

This show is totally badass. By far, my favourite episode is when the clone troopers move in to rescue the 5 jedi trapped in a wrecked capital ship surrounded by droids. Grievous and the clone troopers both show how badass they truly are.
The episodes where it is mostly Clones are good.
I don't know, it just feels so kid-ified to me. Like Star Wars: Sesame Street.
I don't know, it just feels so kid-ified to me. Like Star Wars: Sesame Street.
Usually the Clone episodes aren't very kiddy. There is some silly elements but usually it is fine.

Great series, should've got picked up and turned into a half hour show. The new series isn't absolutely terrible though.
That's awesome.
It was a pretty short scene though from what I hear. I haven't watched any episodes recently.
I remember when this was premiering in Norway. I had made myself some popcorn, turned on the TV. Show starts. I got all excited. Then 5 minutes later the first episode was over...
Oh wow, I remember waiting to see the new episodes of this. I've dowloaded all of them on i-tunes. I remember seeing a few episodes of this on CN, though I was pretty young and I only had CN at my Grandma's place. Maybe I should take some time and see them, looks interesting.
I remember General Grievous actually being competent and terrifying in this series. When I heard he was going to be in the third prequel I got excited. And then he turned out to be a massive bitch who didn't do anything, go figure.
This series was some hot shit. Why did it have to be overshadowed by the new crappy movie-thing going by the same name...
I made it a priority to watch this every time it came on, it was amazing. I can't watch the episodes online sadly, since it's been overshadowed by the new cgi show. I found some website that hosted all of the episodes a while ago, but it was taken down. Does anyone know where the whole series can be watched? YouTube doesn't help much in this situation.
I have the first season of this on DVD, it's awesome.

[editline]1st February 2011[/editline] or was it the squad, its been a while

God, I loved Carth. And Scorch. Its what made both of those games for me, what a great voice actor.
God, I loved Carth. And Scorch. Its what made both of those games for me, what a great voice actor.
I agree. They are both cool guys. A lot of people hate Carth though.
I remember recording an episode on VHS while I was away, got home, put the tape in, me and my brother sat down. Episode consists of Anakin walking through the jungle and then that sith woman jumps out and they fight for two seconds and it cuts out. Credits. I wanted to destroy that tape..... but yes, the clones had some badass moments.
Man, Grievous was bad ass in that show.
How come I never heard of that Show? Was it only broadcasted in America?
I love both series. The animation was brilliant, the often limited dialogue-similar to Samurai Jack- was never too much of a problem, and this series presented some awesome- albeit short- scenarios for the clones. My personal favorite episodes are with General Grievous. Especially his introduction episode. I don't think I have seen something any more awesome in that series. Not to mention John Dimaggio was a lot more sinister as Grievous' voice than what he sounds like now. It's a shame Grievous wasn't too much in Episode 3 and seems a bit too imcompetent in the new series. I do enjoy the new series too. I mean, it does have some things that bug me, and at times does feel kidified. But really, if you've been watching it from time to time, you would see that season two and season three have had some of the best emotional and combat scenes ever shown on a cartoon show (I think at least). Both series are great in my opinion. I still sometimes wish the new one was animated like this one though. God, I loved that red clone trooper.
Fordo is a badass (The Red Clone Trooper)
