What kind of rice is good for what and which do you like to use most? I like Arborio and Basmati rice currently, pretty bog standard.
if you wanna look into it, spam musubi is a super popular food here in hawaii. my brother makes a bunch and sells it at school, but i don't have any experience in making it. seems like all you do it make rice, cut out pieces of spam, and wrap it in nori, but it's good.
this may be of help http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2008/04/tutorial-how-to-make-hawaiian-spam-musubi-sushi.html
Wild rice is pretty good.
Only problem with wild rice is it takes time to cook, but its nice with fish.
I tried cooking rice in the microwave the other day but it didn't turn out very nice, much prefer doing it in a pot.
