After seeing "Constantine" I thought they portrayed hell pretty good. But are there any other movies that involve hell in one way or another. You see hell so rarerly in movies, so that's why I wanna know if you guys know of any good movie.
Event Horizon
The Ninth Gate
Drag me to Hell
All I can think of right now.
Hannah Montana: The Movie
South Park movie
Am I the only one who thinks Hell could be used as an excellent plot device? Directors should use it more.
Fargo

I find quite a lot of the time when plot devices such as hell are used they end up been used for the entire plot and ruin the film.
I much prefer films that use a sort of hell on earth plot device, 3 aspects of true horror are self, uncanny and other. Hell on earth takes all 3 of those and puts them together.

The joke is that it takes place in North Dakota
The Ninth Gate is one of the better Hell films I've seen, although Hell isn't really shown.

I should really read before posting. And its the one Adam Sandler movie everyone forgets.
Napoleon Dynamite.
C'mon, we all know that took place in a special part of Hell.
Hell has always been an interesting idea to me.
Heaven, a land of perfection, would be shit. Everything you could want, utter contentment; nothing to work for, nothing to strive for, no pain, no sadness, nothing to break up the monotonous peace.
Bugger that.

Actually there was a Twilight Zone episode where a guy went to Hell and found out that's exactly the case. Nothing ever interesting happens, he gets everything he wants or needs without any effort, even if he wanted effort, etc.

It'd be just like playing a video game with cheats. Sure it's fun for a little while but it's going to get boring quick.
What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams.

Well, if you wanted a conflict or struggle, you'd get that too?

Love that episode, despite it being obvious from the beginning. I began imagining (fantasizing more like) of all the ways I'd exploit it try and take advantage of hell to make it less boring...
