This is my unscripted reaction right after seeing the new MG Survival trailer.
The game itself is pretty much what I expected. It was the trailer itself that got me a bit upset.
I am always looking for criticism and advice for my videos.

I think it's pretty sad when i'm looking forward to a Metal Gear slot machine more than a new Metal Gear game.

Considering Kojima's new game is years away I am honestly more hyped for the upcoming Death Stranding Trailers than I am the new Metal Gear game.
Maybe i'm just biased against survival games but besides Rust I haven't found a single one I really enjoyed all that much.

It's not just you.
This looks like garbage.
Has that feel of "ok, we don't know what the fuck to do with this, so lets make the lowest common denominator, and sell it"
It's not that survival games suck, although the genre might be getting a bit crowded... It's more the fact that Metal Gear should NEVER EVER be about anything related to the survival genre.
It reminds me of these movies that are big hits, that then get awful parody "comedy" movies. To me, its the exact same.
And in all honesty, I'm glad they went this way. Now we know that they only have two options: they either remake past games with the tech of today, or they FUCK IT UP and literaly KILL the Metal Gear franchise with bad decisions like this, and don't soil it with something subpar that can actually be considered canon to the story.

Was there even one second of stealth in the entire trailer? MGS is one of if not the most popular stealth game of all time and besides the horrible trailer directing I wonder if Konami realizes what Metal Gear is besides a cash cow.

I don't think so. I mean, all I saw was a copy of any other survival kind of game, with what appears to be crafting in it, and a slightly MGS Mother Base and personel theme to it.
Another good example, is calling this the Umbrella Chronicles of Metal Gear. It also reminds me of those chinese knock off games like chinese Call Of Duty and chinese TF2, because it grabs the assets of the original game, and turns it into something completely different that doesn't makes sense.

It's all apart of Konami's tradition. They feed on the tears of fans. It's why they let a good series get a decently sized fanbase before completely ruining it.

I honestly don't know. Theres the kind of person who defends stuff and says to give it a chance, then theres the kind of person who defends stuff even if its confirmed to be shit. I could almost bet that Metal Gear Survive wouldn't fit into any of the above, because its quite clearly a cash grab idea, combining a known franchise with what seems to be "open world survival genre".
He just can't defend this, but then again, he is BeardyDucky. I forget the exact cases, but iirc, he's the kind of guy capable of saying that you're wrong about something and an idiot, despite he being the one wrong.
