So I am using fruity loops 9 and making creepy techno and I can't figure out how to use the playlist. I thought it'd be easiest to clone the main pattern and use it after modifying it, but no fruity loops modifies all the patterns with changes. How do I make separate patterns and edit them differently so they don't mess the others up?
When you clone it, do you mean you copy and paste?
When you paste, everything will still be selected, you need to deselect all before you do anything.
I have FL 8, but I took a quick glance at the way 9 looks. Just select a different pattern and put notes in. Unless you're having a problem and not quite explaining it correctly.
right click the pattern and click clone
You have to open up a new pattern page, then make your new pattern there.
After you have done that, open up the big patter page from the top right, and click and drag.
At least thats how I do it on mine.
