• Unidentified prop plane nose. Possible Identity/Use?

So I was visiting to see my uncle's property in the sierras of California, on the property was a junk pile, and within it i spotted this Plane nose, I asked my uncle about it and he told me when he was a teenager he stole it off of someone's property nearby when he was stealing car parts. I looked at this nose and tried to search for any possible letters identifying what plane this might have been used on, I could only find the numbers " 180 " So here are some pictures of it The numbers "What plane does it belong to?" isn't the only question here. " Is it of any use? Is it worth anything?" is also the other.
If you don't know what plane it belongs to its useless.
It's a weather balloon. (User was banned for this post ("Memeshit." - ventilated))
Probably from a Cessna. Should be a serial number somewhere on it since it is a removable part.

its a giant condom! use it wisely... (User was banned for this post ("Shitpost." - ventilated))
Probably from a Cessna. Should be a serial number somewhere on it since it is a removable part.
Cessnas usually only have 2 blades, so it would belong to a bigger, 4 blade aircraft.
Linelor is right, it looks strikingly like a Cessna 172 nose. As for uses, put it on your head and goes as a Conehead for Halloween? Edit: Second thought, saw the 4 inlets. Dunno what it is.
Cessna 172's have more of a point, and only two blades.
Use it as a custom computer case or something. Maybe a subwoofer housing for surround sound.
Doesn't look lit it's from a cessna at all. The cessna one is more pointy and shorter.
Use it as a toilet.
maybe the black tip points to something?
Wear it like a helmet
Was the property owner's last name Darko?
Was the property owner's last name Darko?
I'd have to ask my uncle
What year was it found?
Well we found it over the summer, and my uncle stole it in the late 60s or early to mid 70s. I've got to ask him again, we haven't discussed about the nose since I found it actually
wear it like a helmet god dammit
It's from Oceanic Flight 815. [editline].[/editline] 4 8 15 16 23 42

I don't know what it's off of, To me I'm leaning towards a Spitfire, or a plane of around 1950-1960, It's probably some home made piece of garbage though, tossed aside for a new and or a proper one And if it was a spitfire, and 'stolen' in California, It may even be from a plane that flew in the Reno Air races It seems a bit thin to be from one though but hell there were so many made throughout the years, it's hard to be sure, But it has Similar/Identical rivets and holes at the base (Yes I know that has More than 4 props, we're looking at the shape) There are Spitfires with 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 Blades
whatever it is it has four propeller spots.
But it can be for a range of models using a 4 blade but this might be a wild shot, but it looks like it's off a P-51 or variant, but missing a top cap, that's why there a hole looking thing at the top maybe there are many nose cones for 4 blade planes, not just a specific model, who knows
Then its a different cessna model then
Why does it have to be a cessna?
buy three more use as hubcaps
Was the property owner's last name Darko?
am I the only one in this thread to get this reference? Shame on all of you!
