• How does it feel to wait?

How did it happen that waiting became such a natural way of going on with our lifes nowadays? Does it start with the education everyone recieves, wich is mostly the education school gives? You get in school when you're ~3years old and leave inbetween 18 and 30?The averange of daily hours spent by students at school range from 4 to 11. That's a whole lot of years that are invested...even so maybe its worth it; maybe you're one of the lucky few wich took the course of science art or whatnot and found it pleasurable to work towards a fullfiling goal,in wich case school didn't even contribute with much. Getting an averange office job and earning an averange salary is what the most of people get in life tho... Is the trade of days and days of monotony for afew weeks of vacation a fair one?And then some await the old age so that they can wake up when they want, do what they wish and so on. But chance is death by accident, disease, the agony and wear down of the body will settle down long before. I put my hopes in the rise of machinery power that would bring men more free time to learn about themselfes and nature and enjoy living in the present.Even withouth these accesories of modern life we could still live in great abbundence of both material wealth and spare time.Indus valley civilisation is one example, quite simmilar to modern life, they found no use in weaponry though.Native american's way of life may be another. Most of them could travel,on foot for 125miles(or 200km)/day.Could survive on their own for prolonged weeks in wilderness.Had their minds and bodies trained, hardened. If those civilisations could do it millenias ago why cant we? And what use does the education sistem stand for in an age of instant information, when the nearly everyone can be an autodidact?
why cant we?
we can and many do we simply don't because we don't need to. The people you're talking about who did these things a long time ago did so out of necessity
