Fuck YouTube with a sharp, rusty pole.
I'm amazed that such a huge website can be run so poorly. As he said, more popular channels show far worse and YouTube doesn't bat an eye.
What the living fuck?
I was just watching a bunch of his videos yesterday. Oh man :c
First it was Bottles and Fruits, now it's DVD's. People must be getting offended by the destruction of inanimate objects.
I've said it before. Youtube really needs to change their system so that mass flagging/bullshit DMCAs for 10k+ sub channels are processed separately from the "shoot first ask questions later" approach they're taking in cases like this. Have actual human staff around the clock to verify that these flagging campaigns or DMCAs aren't total bullshit before it goes through. It wouldn't be that hard to do. It might be unfair, but I'm not saying that for the uploader's sake, I'm saying it because shutting down videos/channels with 300k subs is going to inconvenience an assload more users than videos/channels with like 2000 subs. Saves the users a lot of inconvenience, saves youtube a lot of drama. I really do not understand why they don't do this.
Can i watch his videos somewhere still?? just typed in his name on youtube and this is what i get
How hard is it to fucking check and see if the video actually violates guidelines rather than just taking it down without even looking. Once again, great stuff YouTube, go fuck yourself.
once he gets (and if) his channel back, next up: I HATE YOUTUBE (PART 2)
Yet all the prank channels stay up.
You'd think a company like Google would fix their flagging system by now.
once he gets (and if) his channel back, next up: I HATE YOUTUBE (PART 2)
I'm certain he will. Every time shit like this happens it turns out it was either a bullshit DMCA or a mass flagging campaign that caused youtube's automated system to shoot down the video/channel without anyone actually checking to make sure it's not just being retarded.
I'm not gonna lie, I literally hate YouTube now, without hyperbole. There's no excuse for screwing over upcoming YouTube channels for so long.
bots sure are GREAT at doing a humans job
Good.
Good.
care to elaborate your opinion more instead of one word?
"The YouTube conmmunity flagged one of your videos..." Sorry, you mean the internet? Because YouTube is the third most visited side on the entire fucking internet. There is no single "YouTube community", that means "people who have access to the internet". I don't understand how YouTube can treat itself like it has some singular community. This isn't a slight on IHE, it's a slight on YouTube.
Good.
How about instead of viewing this as "oh great, IHE just got banned", you view it more as "someone just got taken down for nothing". I honestly don't like IHE videos but this was a pointless take down when you look at some of the other shit that's on Youtube.
I am hoping since he had basically no warning, and it happened immediately after the message about "repeated flaggings" of that video, it means that it was just automated after a certain number of total flags or something, those flags being all from a certain group or bots or something. Something that could be quickly disregarded and reverted. Hopefully.
Consider this as a motivation to move to better video hosting platform.
This is why alot of Channels I Sub to ( mind you, scary video's but still ) have a lot of a 2nd channal that they rarely updated as a back up. I think for the time being he should just make a 2nd channel until he gets it back up
Consider this as a motivation to move to better video hosting platform.
Okay where? Dailymotion? Vimeo? Neither have the broad spectrum reach of audience that YouTube has.
Consider this as a motivation to move to better video hosting platform.
Yeah, I'm sure going to Dailymotion is would work out just fine when it comes to retaining viewership. :unimpressed:
Okay where? Dailymotion? Vimeo? Neither have the broad spectrum reach of audience that YouTube has.
The chances of YouTube getting dethroned within the next 10 years is pretty low.
I kind of wish there was a decent competitor to Youtube, maybe then Google would get their shit straight.

(I mean, isn't the whole reason this system got implemented because tons of big companies were going to or actually did take legal action against Youtube?) What they actually need to do is implement harsh punishments for people who abuse the system.
What sucks is that Youtube is really damn big. All the other video sharing site out there are being covered in YT's shadow. Any other option would be impossible to get back to your regular basis. If YouTube kicks you out for good(if that's possible for a expulsion), then you're screwed. Like what many people hear have said, a system where mass flagging being left unchecked is severely flawed and many content users can be at risk.
Its probably another hickok45 situation where its some stupid automated accident.
It's really stupid Google hasn't done anything after 4+ incidents in the last month. Yes, 2 of them were Sam Pepper and some other guy being salty (Pyrocynical and Vagabonds), but Google should get the key that humans are better than robots (This and one of iDubbbz' videos). Really sucks that IHE got taken down.
