• Scientists claim smelling farts may prevent cancer
It has been a weird week in health news. First doctors said that Justin Bieber might save young boys’ lives (the “hip” bowl cut is actually a form of sun protection — skin cancer be gone!), and now scientists out of the University of Exeter are implying that smelling farts could actually prevent cancer, among other diseases. “Although hydrogen sulfide gas”—produced when bacteria breaks down food—”is well known as a pungent, foul-smelling gas in rotten eggs and flatulence, it is naturally produced in the body and could in fact be a healthcare hero with significant implications for future therapies for a variety of diseases,” Dr. Mark Wood said in a university release.
http://time.com/2976464/scientists-say-smelling-farts-might-prevent-cancer/
Good thing I'm lactose intolerant.
Alternatively, just leave rotten eggs all over your house.
What does PETA have to say about this?
Can't imagine it being a particularly popular therapy for cancer prevention; not just because hydrogen sulfide smells awful, but also because it's a poisonous gas. Fortunately, the concentration at which you can smell it is so much smaller than the concentration needed to harm someone's health.
So would you rather wear a Bieber bowl cut for the rest of your life or smell farts for the rest of your life?
I like my farts sometimes so I guess I'll be okay in future then!
i thought everyone smelled their farts
They laughed at me. They mocked me. I watched them die of cancer.
Found this on Twitter, guess I'll just leave it here:
Good thing I'm kinky then
I'm pretty sure there was a southpark episode like this?

"implications for future therapies..." That's gotta stink for whoever has to go through that.

This sounds like the plot of a Southpark episode.
Seano12 must be pretty damn happy with this news
Reminds me of the south park episode where eating through your ass and shitting through your mouth was better for your health.
"implications for future therapies..." That's gotta stink for whoever has to go through that.
I'm going to prescribe you one dutch oven daily for the next fourteen days, and must remind you how important it is to not stop treatment just because you might feel a little better after a few days.
Since the idea that everything gives you cancer has a sort of semi-truth to it... since a lot of things do increase your chance of getting cancer... The inverse may be true. Maybe a lot of things decrease your chance if getting cancer.
