Beautiful.. nothing more nothing less.
That's... really good. She's really good at singing, you should probably look at some of her other videos.

I suppose she wants to sound happy when singing.

for those of us on the opposite the side of the isle.
She did a good job at trying to make both versions a little different from each other; since, essentially they're almost the same. Put her own touch on each, so to speak.
am i the only one who hates these videos of her
She looks like she is trying to show off or something.
I don't know...
Yeah, I love her voice and how well she does these covers but something about looking at her I dislike, it's like that Lindsey Sterling girl that dances when she plays violin. It could be the setting Malukah surrounds herself with, the lighting, the camera angle, it seems like she's trying to show off. My friend and I were talking about her first Skyrim cover video and he said she seems to be a closet fatty. I thought his comment was mean but I couldn't help but sorta agree.
Special microphone + audio editing = amazing voice, yeah, alright
Can I hear the un-edited?
She's probably just doing these videos to get the attention of the .. people playing skyrim.

Um of course you use good microphones for recording music you dolt. It's like saying "that picture was taken with a good camera so it's probably not a good picture".
By the way, this song doesn't have much(if any) auto-tune or other tuning processing. Auto-tune leaves a bunch of really identifiable "artifacts" in the music, especially the harder it has to snap the voice.
Listen to 2:05 on. You hear that slight "shimmer" or oscillation in her voice? That comes from doubling the sound when they are slightly out of tune. If this was auto-tuned it would be perfectly doubled without that oscillation because auto-tune snaps everything to an exact note.
Her voice is mostly "natural". There is processing on it, of course, but only to accentuate the art, not to take some bad and make it good.

I really like her singing and playing, but for some reason the videos make me feel quite awkward. I don't know why, she looks/behaves overdramatic or something.

Singing with a smile is overdramatic?

I don't know, I supposed it's the lighting and the echo.
It just feels like that to me. :v:
Holy fuck my eyes wattered somehow when all those instruments and those many voices dropped in, it's just so beautiful...
