dem graphics
Visually speaking. That is pretty fucking rad.
If the game uses standard Third Person shooter, that's fine. As long as it fluid and controllable I don't mind standard boring control schemas.
Definitely seems like the graphics were more of the focus than gameplay, but god damn it is beautiful.

PS4 exclusive I assume?

I'd rather standard gameplay that is playable, rather than game play that "pushes the boundaries" but is buggy as shit.

Pretty much.
Seeing chest high walls and an extreme tight alley made me sad. Hopefully the full game isn't like that where you spend most of your time in small areas.
Here it is without commentary. Only one(s) i could find.

I love ya Sess, but fuck people who feel the need to constantly talk about the game, when all we want is the gameplay.
Case and point

Here's hoping for some Zeppelin play. This game does have Steampunk, so it is to be expected.
almost required if it's the climax.
looks cool but its such a shame that its just another third person cover based shooter. oh well.
I read somewhere that it runs at 30 fps too, shame. It would look great in 60 fps.

If it's taking place in London I wouldn't expect anything much larger, London is tight as fuck.
Dem cloth physics though. Also could that fov get any lower?
This looks awesome, if a little bland at times.

The good thing about next gen TPS is that at least the people we'll be looking at will look a lot better

It's running 1080p at 4x msaa. It'd be impossible to get this level of fidelity at 60fps on the PS4.
(well, rendering 1080p then overlaying the black bars.)

A game doesn't need to be completely revolutionary to not use cover--based shooting. The mechanic in it's own is completely flawed and dumbs down the gameplay. It makes it obvious when ambushes are coming up and it makes the game too easy.
Cover based shooters are probably the worst genre out today.

I don't think so. If the game does it good then I'm fine with cover. By good, Uncharted 2-3 comes to mind.
I like em.

Yeah it would be better if it was like the old days where you had to stand out in the open strafing side to side like an idiot.

Oh dear God. The amount of personal opinion in this hurts.

It's 1886, they didn't have the technology for 60 fps

cool opinions. have you even played uncharted? like at all? its not really the gameplay that makes it, but the story and set pieces. same goes with last of us or lost planet 1&2.

lol

ambushes are equally, if not more, obvious in shooters with no cover. think about all those times when you come up to huge, open spaces. yeah
Just keeps reminding me of RYSE
Graphics show off with meh gameplay
cover based third person shooter with a 30fps lock.
if it came to PC I might pay attention to it. Since it's not, well, I'm not seeing any reason to purchase a PS4 when I have my PC capable of running most games that are being released for 'next' gen, when next gen doesn't even seem like it's coming yet.
I was hoping 60fps would be the standard by now.
Can't give any impressions other then wow what a tiny alley that was so far, wasn't really the best footage to show imo
