How Long Did You Spend Watching the "You Got A Moon!" Animation During Mario Odyssey?

The madman Joseph Anderson edited together all the moon animations and numbered them. The total time is about 1 hour and 12 minutes.

I know you can basically edit footage like this of any game, but it still comes off as super obnoxious when you see it in motion like this. I have flashbacks to no mans sky and it's terrible, unskippable milestone achievements.
Because of that, I firmly believe that if your game has milestones, achievements or collectibles that prompt an animation or a pause in gameplay, the game should provide the ability to skip them or turn them off. Super big QoL feature that's missing from a lot of games like this.
and almost 8 minutes of this are you mashing A at Toadette.
Only thing that annoyed me about this in Odyssey is getting the moons from Toadette, especially when you had like 30-40 moons queued up, it was just waiting and hitting A for a good while
this is pretty minor compared to the other 3D marios booting you from the level, especially galaxy 1 and 2 where you needed to sit through two loading screens per level, and the fact that you had to reenter the level

It's not since there are many more moons in this game.

I'd agree for the minor moons, but most of the major ones either cause Mario to move or the level to change in some way and they use the animation to illustrate it to the player.
At least almost every cutscene/item get can be skipped in breath of the wild.
imagine having to sit through every cinematic of each of the 120 shrines.

In Breath of the Wild there's a long animation that plays when you enter a shrine with a standard text roll "Here's this challenge, blah blah, blah." Followed by the name of the challenge. You can only move after you sit through it, then at the end there's an animation for the spirit orb being given to Link, a text box telling you you got a spirit orb, and another animation where the monk fades away. Thankfully these can all be skipped but it's bloody annoying after the first few.
Also, if you re enter a shrine the challenge name and the monk's name just appear in the bottom left corner. Just have it do that in the first place!
I did the math
This is 4.925 seconds for each moon, on average.
Well you can patch games now so if nintendo would actually care about speedrunners they could at least make a skip button for them.

I can think of a few reasons speedrunners would be less than happy about that.
Isn't this the same guy that went on a rant about how the word gameplay is stupid?
