I think I'm going to go install tonight :D
My highest ranked character is stuck on the shitty Briggs server. I now get 300 ping on it and there's 57 players right now. That and the obnoxious advertisement everywhere made trying to return horrible.
Emerald Server best server

I might try it out this weekend, chaos is good. The game became VERY stale once players figured out the same shiteating tactics and cheap ways to win (I'm looking at you, anti-vehicle rocket spam) and the massive lag didn't help either. I wonder what basebuilding is gonna do for the flow of this game.
I always get lost in the chaotic madness that unravels around me and after a while i stop playing. Perhaps i should team up with other people for once
Haha nope, some shitty update doesn't make the game any better Look at all these Planetside fanboys dumbing me without saying anything lol (User was banned for this post ("Threadshitting." - Pascall))
I reinstalled the game purely because Accursed Farms was going to be doing monthly get togethers for it. I really don't like the game that much otherwise.
Planetside 2 is fun to play for a while every now and then but it gets boring pretty fast. This seems really neat though, I might have to reinstall again.
Haha nope, some shitty update doesn't make the game any better Look at all these Planetside fanboys dumbing me without saying anything lol
Look at some random troll making statements without any reason to back them up.
I really liked PS2 when I had a group of 3-4 friends to play with at the same time. Eventually it just got boring and repetitive, playing as Terran, both Vanu and NC are OP. [editline]later[/editline] To clarify, this was even when we (often) played in large clans, 3-4 galaxies full of players still getting wiped by NC and VS.

Just saying.
I always felt that Planetside 2 was sub-par. I played the original PlanetSide (and still play) and prefer it to the sequel.
Look at some random troll making statements without any reason to back them up.
You want reasons? Fine, here's some reasons. This game is the most boring piece of shit I've ever played. You can play it for a day at most, after that you've seen anything that can happen in this game for the rest of time. The same damn thing over and over, fighting over some point, you either fight as infantry, or you bring some land or air vehicle. Other than that, nothing else interesting that happens. The only interesting thing about this game are the big battles, but those get stale just as fast as this game's whole mechanic. There's no actual big objective, something to leave you feeling like you won anything and your time wasn't wasted. Cause taking over the continent when your faction is at it's peak and run along with the mindless zerg isn't fun nor accomplishing. They bothered to make 3 factions that look different, have different weaponry and vehicles and with a backstory to each of them that could've gotten the players to actually feel connected to their faction. That if they would've made possible for the players to actually have some influence in their faction. Maybe have a selected leader and officers, have faction-wide voted tactics to use. Whatever, something to make the players involved in the game. For example Face of Mankind was a completely player-driven game in which there were several pre-made factions done by the devs. But since the players actually involved themselves in the faction they chose, and all it's actions were made by people, everyone by the end actually felt loyalty and was deeply involved in what was going on. Also the grinding sucks, gotta pay to get xp boosts so you can actually afford to buy something by the end of the month.
i really liked it for a while, but after like 20 hours of playtime and not getting a single new weapon i just got really bored of it and the fact that enemies can teleport inside the garden spheres just destroys the whole point
I tried it out after Ross's video, but uninstalled literally 2 days ago :suicide:
PS2 just felt unrewarding and grinding for flavor of the month weapon just sucked. Like, it's cool to have huge servers, but if nothing rewards the player why bother?
I just really really really really really REALLY hate the insane grind. If it felt like you were actually rewarded for fighting for your faction, rather than getting tiny little table scraps, it'd be a lot more fun. I've been playing it occasionally over the last few weeks, but I don't think I'm ever gonna end up being all that invested in it when it takes so long to unlock anything.
I just really really really really really REALLY hate the insane grind.
The game should have taken a better approach to the weapon unlocking system, it was either pay 30-50 bucks for any weapon worth a shit, or grind for 20 hours to get a slightly less shit weapon. The battles should have been more engaging and simplified like Onslaught in UT2K4, even with 64-128 players large maps were easy to navigate and battles felt engaging.
This game on PS4 doens't requiere PS+ right? And what about framerate on that version?

Really annoying when you're trying to get to a control point, but you can't not because the enemy is preventing you, but because you just can't find the right path.

It's changed a bit. [editline]28th April 2016[/editline]
I just really really really really really REALLY hate the insane grind. It's really not as bad as it was before.
The main problem I had with the game was not being able to shoot fighter pilots in their cockpits with small arms And how disgusting that is to abuse
Still waiting for the Bastion Fleet Carrier.

[sp] or you could play HA/archer engie[/sp]
Did they fix the in game mic not shoving its cock in your ear?
Maybe it's fun if you find a group to play with, but playing solo is really boring.
Still very skeptical. Did they fix the crazy cert pricing and grind, even for paying players?
Still very skeptical. Did they fix the crazy cert pricing and grind, even for paying players?
For the most part yeah. You can pretty easily get enough for the higher priced 1000 cert items in a few days of medium play. It's still a little grindy but not as bad as it was back at launch.
