So, I'm futzing around on my laptop upstairs, and my little brother (16) is sleeping behind me on the couch. I'm copying some files from the PC downstairs to my laptop, and all of a sudden Kyle sits up and starts moving his hand around on the couch saying "Where'd it go? Where is it?" like 5 times. I ask him what, and he replies "The... the..... mgumnmnm" I laugh and go back to messing around. About 15 minutes later, he starts up again. This time, instead of searching the couch, or even getting up, he just starts saying gibberish. Like... "Umnyumahajeadkbiuba". I'm pretty sure this is an isolated instance, because I've never heard him talk in his sleep before. I'm thinking I might get a voice recorder and put it in his room just to see what he says. Do you guys know anyone who sleep talks? Does what they say ever make more sense than this? Do you know what Umnyumahajeadkbuiba means?
He is fucking with you.
Sleeptalking isn't that uncommon from what I understand, rarely makes any kind of sense though. On a couple of occasions I've actually woken myself up that way. I wouldn't bother with the recording, you're unlikely to catch anything interesting and if I'm being honest it's kind of creepy.
This happens to my sister all the time. I'll hear her blabbering nonsense away in the other room at like, 3 in the morning and no one else is awake except me. My girlfriend does it aswell, as does my best friend. I don't think it's a rare occurance.
My friend would sleep talk sometimes. Its funny as fuck to have a conversation with him at 1 AM.
-snip-
I don't doubt that it's not uncommon. I vaguely remember being told that I talked in my sleep one night. Not sure how long ago it was, but I find it kinda funny. One of my Highschool teachers has a great story about sleep talking and interacting with the sleeping person.
thanks for the interesting story
A friend of mine once yelled "STOP IT!! CUNT!" really loud in his sleep. Funny thing is, he was sleeping in a room full of people. :v:
My younger brother did something like this once: "Ed (step brother) don't that man, no don't! Aww Ed come on! Nooo!" Edit: When I asked him in the morning he said it was something to do with cake. :raise:
I've only ever punched someone in my sleep. Why can't I just talk? :saddowns:
I used to sleeptalk very often when I was younger. I even screemed. It will go away.
My mum sleeptalks a lot, often bitching about work, or random swearing :ohdear:
My boyfriend often reports that I have been sleep-talking, and back when I shared room with my little sister she complained about the same thing. Sometimes I wake myself up, but it's mainly around the time I'm supposed to get up anyway, or early on in my sleep.
So this needed a thread in the general section why?
I think every time I sleep I sleep-talk about what people I have crush in and stuff. Otherwise I don't know how my sister knows about all the ultra private stuff about me :saddowns:.
He's the devils brother now. You have to burn him with fire fast!
I sleep talk and sleepwalk occasionally. One time I went out to the living room and opened the front door to my house while I was asleep, then went back to bed. My mom was pissed off in the morning.
I once dated a girl who Moo'ed in her sleep. That one didn't last long.
If people try to talk to me when I've been woken up, I go into a string of nonsense and desperate attempts to get them to let me sleep.
Once my brother just said "I don't know where I am" in the middle of the night. Funny as fuck.
My little brother usually does this as well. He once said "NANANANANANA, OKAY!" loudly in the middle of the night.
My mum yelled 'FUCK OFF' really loud once. Woke me up and made me jump :ohdear:
I vaguely recall trying to tell my brother something important while i was sleeping, after i woke up, i realise the things i said makes no sense whatsoever
I've been known to sleeptalk quite often. I'm often searching for a "key" or watching out for "bugs"
My cousin does this a lot. He used to sleep over often at my place. When he does do it, you could ask him any question and he'd answer truthfully. Except for "What is your name?" He never answered that, for some reason. Or just said "I don't know."
I've been told I talk and scream in my sleep.
CooL. Last time when I sleeptalked was 2 years ago, my parents told me that I said : "It doesn't work ,blfkgf, fuck" shaking the pillow. When I heard I was like "Wat ?"
Some birds came and took his penis. He wants to know where it is.
My couch makes me sleeptalk. Whenever I nap on it I talk. My dad says I say random gibberish.
