( didn't know if this belongs in GD/FT, sorry if it's wrong place. )
I'm currently 16 years old and just got my GCSE results yesterday, they weren't good ( I think some were under marked, but I can't do shit now :x )
English Language - C
English Literature - C
Maths - A
Biology - C
Chemistry - C
Physics - B ( A on exam, D on coursework wat )
ICT - D ( mega wat )
Geography - C
French - F
Business Studies - D
The A-Levels I want to take are Further Maths, Computing and Physics. The college expects at least two As and four Bs from the applicants which I already got a conditional acceptance. This is the only good college where I live and if I can't get in.. I don't know what to do.
Has anyone had a similar experience and can tell me if my college will accept such poor results? :< Thanks for reading FP.
Be happy you did good in maths; I suck at it.
Generally speaking there are special cases where, if you don't meet the expected grades but have an overall satisfactory resume (assuming the school looks into your record) then you might still be accepted. I'm not knowledgeable on English schools but if you have good work ethic, have been in extracurricular activities of some sort or are otherwise remarkable outside of the grade sheet then you still have a fitting chance of being accepted.
Rang college, asked their advice. Didn't get in.
