I don't agree on her statement of "men can wear everything and get away with it." Everyone judges everyone else on everything, man or a woman, big wow.

no one howls or catcalls a dude running without a shirt on, no one considers a dude "slutty" for being scantily dressed, or beyond that puts down a guy for having a copious amount of sex
Even with your mantits hanging out you can still walk topless and the most you'll get is some disgusted looks
Average summer in britain.
Even with your mantits hanging out you can still walk topless and the most you'll get is some disgusted looks
I am pretty sure if you are a man and you get Breast implants you need to cover your nipples
Omg her voice is so cute

Hey I have someone in my school that sounds like this and has the sort of same personality. Except nicer
I don't agree on her statement of "men can wear everything and get away with it." Everyone judges everyone else on everything, man or a woman, big wow.
No i cant? cant wear my birthday clothes without fucking cops putting me in cuffs
No i cant? cant wear my birthday clothes without fucking cops putting me in cuffs
Then you're not wearing something are you?
And here we go.....
the way she talks about being screamed at on the street is like she doesn't know it can happen to men, except they don't get raped, they end up in hospitals society treats clothing different and there are always going to be hypocrites - be glad you get judged for your attire, you'll a) know who not to listen to b) don't throw a hissfit because people eye you I'm all for this cisgender feminism shit as long as it makes sense - but right now all the movement is doing is arguing semantics and shit like this the thing in the video is basically not a problem with gender, it's a problem with society, and both women and men have their own nuisances dealing with these things. tolerance towards any person, man or woman, should be worked towards, but not by singling out a gender [editline]24th September 2013[/editline] I do not respect a woman - I respect a person
No i cant? cant wear my birthday clothes without fucking cops putting me in cuffs
Run faster.
what was she talking about? i was too busy fantasizing rape. (User was banned for this post ("Creep" - MaxOfS2D))
what was she talking about? i was too busy fantasizing rape.
LOL
I'd move out of the red light district. I don't think that's a good place to be for anyone. Edit: Nevermind, it's apparently the place to be. Thanks for the clarification, guys.
the way she talks about being screamed at on the street is like she doesn't know it can happen to men, except they don't get raped, they end up in hospitals.
So do the women that are raped. At the same time, people don't beat up others for no reason, there's usually a racial, monetary, or gang-related reason attached to it. These are all problems, but half the population is female and there's no factor other than being a woman provoking this horrible stalking behavior. Women have the right to try to change this mindset in society because this is directly effecting them and it's fucking horrible.
society treats clothing different and there are always going to be hypocrites - be glad you get judged for your attire, you'll a) know who not to listen to b) don't throw a hissfit because people eye you
What she's wearing is considered appropriate attire by societies standards. Even if it wasn't this doesn't give people the right to treat her like a piece of meat. They were STALKING her and threatening to rape her, they weren't just catcalling her, this "hissfit" seems pretty justified.
the thing in the video is basically not a problem with gender, it's a problem with society, and both women and men have their own nuisances dealing with these things. tolerance towards any person, man or woman, should be worked towards, but not by singling out a gender
This video is a problem with society having a different standard with genders. So Yes, it's a problem with gender. She is not saying that men don't have problems, she's simply bringing attention to an issue that is a very major problem. This isn't a nuisance, these are threats and stalking.
I do not respect a woman - I respect a person
As long as that person doesn't have any issues with what happens to their gender and if they have a penis.

If you wanted, you could go on a rant about gay people being mistreated, etc. the central theme is that people are cunts, and to change that - hold on I'm saying that this sort of video (with the overplayed gestures and fake crying) will not further a cause that's recently surfaced again (feminism) and seems to be running in one place a civil movement needs to have major faces, people you can believe in and make people aspire to be a part of change one-sided vlogs ain't gonna change shit [editline]25th September 2013[/editline] also, before anyone says, I'm personally glad that we're living in a time where the standards set up by society are being broken in all good ways, but that doesn't mean our genes will act any different - a heterosexual man is a heterosexual man, and there's nothing wrong with that being ignorant, now that's wrong

People, believe it or not, need to express their hatred for certain issues for things to change. You're actively discouraging talking about the topic because "you can talk about any subject like this". Yes. You can, and that's awful, but... so? This is an issue, it needs to be talked about, just because you've heard it before does not mean that it's running in place.
I'm saying that what happened to her is terrible and I'm glad she speaks out but points of it are wrong - women are not universally more objectified, it's just that men are objectified otherwise
no one howls or catcalls a dude running without a shirt on, no one considers a dude "slutty" for being scantily dressed, or beyond that puts down a guy for having a copious amount of sex
I don't really agree with this. I've had girls in my group of friends make it clear they think a certain guy is hot if he's dressed a certain way, especially during the summer time when wife beaters and shirtless is the style, either by calling out, whistling, or generally nudging all their friends. Both men and women do it, but men's standards for doing it are a lot lower.
I'd move out of the red light district. I don't think that's a good place to be for anyone.
The Green Light district suits my tastes better anyway.
no one howls or catcalls a dude running without a shirt on, no one considers a dude "slutty" for being scantily dressed, or beyond that puts down a guy for having a copious amount of sex
Well yeah, they just call them things like "faggots" or any other homophobic insult in the book. Might not have the same weight, but men definitely do get shit for what they wear.
no one howls or catcalls a dude running without a shirt on, no one considers a dude "slutty" for being scantily dressed, or beyond that puts down a guy for having a copious amount of sex
Wrong. Don't mean to brag or anything I've gotten that by a car full of girls while changing at the beach.
no one howls or catcalls a dude running without a shirt on, no one considers a dude "slutty" for being scantily dressed, or beyond that puts down a guy for having a copious amount of sex
I've been catcalled (or whatever u want to call the equivalent) by cars full of girls every time I've been out running on the road without a shirt on. I've also been called a faggot by dudes hooning past in their cars, but w/e.
no one howls or catcalls a dude running without a shirt on, no one considers a dude "slutty" for being scantily dressed, or beyond that puts down a guy for having a copious amount of sex
I've seen homosexuals doing that. (howls/catcalling dudes)
I fuckin hate that argument. Yes, in a perfect society women would be able to wear whatever they want without attracting unwanted attention. But we don't live in a perfect world. If you're wearing skimpy cloths, then you have a higher chance of attracting the creeps, weirdos and rapists. You don't wear your expensive watch/cloths to the shitty part of city because you're going to get mugged. It's the same idea. And no, it's not slut shaming, victim blaming, rape culture, it's just common sense.

You can't blame her for trying to change that perception.
