It is not just his fault, it is definitely the writers. But as an actor, he has the ability to change what the writers think of him. But honestly, I think it is all he can play thus far. Well, the MadTV constables skit was entertaining.

I'm not saying they play the same character as Michael Cera, but that they play pretty much the same character in all their movies, similar to how Cera does that.
