Holy shit, less than five minutes after I laughed at this a big sort of overweight adult house spider dangled down from the ceiling directly in front of my face. I'm terrified of spiders so I just kind of froze in terror, then (because it's really fucking warm so I keep my windows wide open) a gust of wind came making it fly towards and hitting my forehead.
At that point my vocal chords generated a noise out of this world. Probably among the weirdest sounds I've ever heard. No idea where the spider went, either, it's possible the sound stunned it
I rarely see spiders by day, but I've killed at least 2 in the past month that I felt crawling through my hair at night. Shifty, plotting little bastards.
Jumping spiders I'm cool with
anything besides that I tend to jump when seeing one
I use a deodorant stick cap and an expired dunkin donuts gift card as a spider relocation device to put them outside whenever I find one in my room
I still have a nerf gun from years ago that i still use today in case i need to get rid of spiders or the likes of it. Makes it fun too
If I try to kill a spider and it escapes, that whole room is a quarantine zone until I find it again.
I usually just raid the fuck out of them and wear a respirator for the next hour or so. One time I noticed a spider nest behind my desk with all the little baby spiders crawling out of it, so I turned my living room into a gas chamber
I gently pick them up and let them out my window to be free.
Or feed them to my tarantulas.
Screw spiders! Have you seen theses little bastards?!

I never get this, the only thing more gross than a gross-ass spider is a squished/splattered gross-ass spider

Cave/Camel Crickets. They prefer cool, damp environments, and tend to "wander" into homes and especially in basements and bathrooms munching on wood. They also fuck like rabbits, birth by the dozen, and LOVE to be out in the open. These fuckers don't make sounds like their other cricket brethren, so you never hear them coming. Kill. On. Sight.

Once a guy in front of me was walking through a doorway and one of these dropped onto his shoulder and crawled down his shirt. i was so stunned that i just stood there and didn't say anything. i used a different doorway.

Those things are a bitch to kill, they've got some of the quickest reflexes I've ever seen on an insect.

I have absolutely no idea what that is.
What I do know is that, for the two years I've livedd in this apartment, I've only seen maybe a total of three spiders, all of them small.
These guys, on the other hand:

We get these silverfish all the time. It's rare for me to go a day without seeing one, and I usually see 3 or 4 a night, usually either in the bathroom or around the kitchen sink.
They don't bother anybody though, and they are extremely shy.
I'll take silverfish over spiders any day, honestly.
