This game seems to have come a long way, really.

TB seemed like he was drunk with excitement so much that he couldn't even make any decent points. Awesome, been waiting for this for a long time. One of the main menu sounds were recorded by a friend of mine :v: EDIT: I got my key from Humble and activated it on Steam, but there's no Install button..?
Weapons-wise, it has no explosives a grenade launcher would be nice

does the launch version have vr support?
I don't really agree with a lot of what sbh has to say so I think I'll pass.
He spends the first half of the video talking about how great it is, while sounding like he's just sat through the most boring thing in the universe. Then he goes on to spend the rest of the video complaining that there aren't enough guns, saying the minute differences in modern weapons would be great to see in slow motion (despite gun fire causing the game to run at full speed), and saying it lacks features. All I agree with him on is that a crouch button could be cool, and that having more maps would probably be good for the game. Though his assertion that it would be better to have a bunch of badly made maps than having a few polished maps is just stupid.
It looks good, if a little barebones. I'm not sure I'd pay more than 15 bucks for it though.
For a more objective review. TB seemed like he was drunk with excitement so much that he couldn't even make any decent points.
Thanks for the hijacking.
TB seemed like he was drunk with excitement so much that he couldn't even make any decent points.
??? He made plenty of decent points. Just because he makes a lot of positive statements doesn't make them any less "decent"
Complaining about amount of content without mentioning the price, is really just saying "I like this game so much i wish there was more"
Weapons-wise, it has no explosives a grenade launcher would be nice
I think the glass like the beakers can act as an explosive-like area attack. In TB's vid, a beaker made one of the enemies drop their gun after the beaker was shot despite being a fair distance away. It's possible that glass objects can affect multiple enemies when thrown. [/speculation]
Complaining about amount of content without mentioning the price, is really just saying "I like this game so much i wish there was more"
Who's complaining about that?
Lets just focus on the video in the OP instead of letting the derail go on. I loved that jam game but I didn't know of the full version until now.
I'm glad Superhot is getting good reviews, though I do wish there was some sort of map editor as to have more levels. From what I saw of the giantbomb's video, there's about 25, which seems really short, but in the end I'm really excited for this.
Who's complaining about that?
Like 80% of both videos.
For a more objective review. TB seemed like he was drunk with excitement so much that he couldn't even make any decent points.
I love Super Bunnyhop but you are aware that asking for an objective review is the dumbest thing ever right? Like as in a review is somebody's opinion on something, and opinions are subjective. Besides I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here SBH liked the game a lot too, he just wished there was more of it because his opinions on content are different to TB's (who has frequently said he prefers shorter games due to his life style).
Like 80% of both videos.
Neither of them were complaining about that though?
Rndgenerator what the fuck were you thinking?
For a more objective review. I'm not taking sides here, but I just want to point out that TB has a tendency to be really biased in his reviews based on his predispositions towards games. The most standout example of this here, as well as in general, is when he looks at the options menu. The game has ~0 graphics settings to change, and in any game he didn't like TB would rip on that for 2-3 minutes, whereas here he just kinda points it out and changes the subject. He's making valid points in saying that it's a good game, but rndgenerator saying he's "drunk with excitement" isn't particularly wrong. Also drunk with excitement might not be the right term so much as "hype-blind" or something.
For a more objective review.
Reviews are nothing, if not purely subjective. The only objectivity about games there is are obviously shit like optimization, balancing extremes, and some other few things

Being a unity game there's some defaults in the launcher menu thing but I'm not sure if this is all intentional, a bug, or a lack of care, an 'upcoming feature' that made its way into the build before completion, whatever, but I'd say TB not getting bent up over it is a good sign that it doesn't impact your experience (updating this post because relevant) Currently no clear way to re-bind movement keys through launcher or game client, which is common for me as a lefty (IJKL is my WASD). However, the complete lack of complex controls makes playing over on WASD a non-issue for me, though may be discomforting to some.

I think I'd be a lot more enthused if I didn't play the beta. There's so little of a noticeable change here that it's just not interesting. I'm into SuperHot but I have the same content concerns that Bunnyhop does. Endless modes never keep my interest for long and a two hour campaign is too short. That said, this seems like the perfect game for steam workshop and a Portal 2-esque level creator. If that happens I'm in.
Been waiting all night for this to release but it's fucking £18. That's way more than I expected it to cost, that sucks
Like 80% of both videos.
Your math is horrible.

The gameplay feels satisfying and engaging enough that I've been able to have fun with the challenges for hours despite basically just killing red dudes in slow motion over and over again. I think TB's enthusiasm is honestly well-deserved, SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years.

Everyone should check out this game, it's the most innovative shooter I've played in years.
