Well in my 2 years of punching face, I haven't seen a Motörhead thread (rhymes yo), so why not.

OBLIGATORY BIO
Motörhead are a British rock band formed in 1975 by bassist, singer and songwriter Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister, who has remained the only constant member of the band. The band came before, but are usually referred to as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, which re-energised heavy metal in the late 70s and 80s. Usually a power trio, Motörhead had particular success in the early 80s with several successful singles in the UK Top 40 chart. The albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades, and No Sleep 'til Hammersmith, cemented Motörhead's reputation as one of Britain's foremost heavy metal bands.
Motörhead are typically classified as heavy metal, and their fusion of punk rock into the genre helped to pioneer speed and thrash metal. Lemmy dislikes such labels, preferring to describe the band's music simply as "rock n' roll" and usually opening live shows with the line "We are Motörhead. We play rock and roll.". Motörhead's approach has remained the same over the band's career, preferring to play what they enjoy and do best; their appreciation of early rock and roll is reflected in some of their occasional cover songs. Motörhead's lyrics typically cover such topics as war, good versus evil, abuse of power, promiscuous sex, substance abuse, and "life on the road". The band's distinctive fanged-face logo, with its oversized boar's horns, chains and spikes, known as "Snaggletooth", or "War Pig", was created by artist Joe Petagno in 1977 for the cover of the Motörhead album and has appeared in many variations on covers of ensuing albums. The band is ranked number 26 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
MEMBERS AND EQUIPMENT
LEMMY KILMISTER

Lemmy uses a custom Rickenbacker 4004 bass guitar with 3 pickups, (possible Gibson Thunderbird neck position pickup, however this is only known to be true for his older bass, I do not know for his current one) gold hardware and an intricate carving in the top in the shape of oak leaves. His amplifiers are hot-rodded Marshall JMP Superbass II amps with a 4 x 12 speaker cab and custom 4 x 15 cab. The amplifiers are nicknames "No Remorse" (left side of the drum riser) and "Marsha" (right side of the drum riser). The original right side amp, known as "Murder One", "blew up", according to Lemmy.
PHIL CAMPBELL

Phil uses a custom Lag Explorer, fitted with dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a single control knob - used for volume - both in the studio and live on stage. However he has been known to use a Minarik Inferno Guitar, a Parker Nitefly, a Claymore custom, Kramer guitars, ESP guitars, as well as PRS guitars live on stage. As with Lemmy, Phil uses Marshall stacks on stage but is known to use Line 6 and Laboga amps and effects in the studio.

Unfortunately, I am unable to find any info on Mikkey's kit. Should anyone want to help - and get some recognition for doing so - feel free :buddy:

Motörhead are pretty good, I have an Inferno poster on my wall
I kind of have a feeling they were a lot better back then though
People bitch too much about Motorhead songs being too similar, I couldn't tell I still love everything they make
Got a Kiss of Death poster
P awesome
If I can go to Bloodstock this year, I'll see them in November. Not because they're going (they're not) but because another band (Amorphis) are performing that same night, but they're attending Bloodstock
So if I see them at Bloodstock I'll see Motorhead but if I don't then Amorphis I will see
Still motorhead are rockin'
My dad met and had a drink with Lemmy in a bar in England years ago :buddy:
jealous
Lemmy is a man fan's man
he goes drinking with his fans, how awesome is that
Overkill live is ball splittingly insane.
I love Motörhead, I've seen them live twice! :buddy:
Last time I seen them at Download Festival and Lemmy told the crowd 'The new album is recorded, but we don't have a bloody name.' Can't wait for it though
I read that in his voice
Every metal band in the world has played Ace of Spades at least ONCE, or alternatively Iron Fist.
Iron Fist, Back at the Funny Farm, and Overkill are my personal favs. Their first album has some GREAT tracks on it (the cover of Train Kept A Rollin' and the title track most notably).
The original Motorhead by Hawkwind is amazing. The ridiculous random FIDDLE soloing is great, as well as the vocal harmonies.

[editline]07:42PM[/editline]
Also note On Patrol should be first, it was recorded first, just released a bit later than it was recorded.
Mikkey Dee's kit;

[editline]10:22PM[/editline]
The cymbals at least.
He uses Sonor Toms and a Sonor bass drum I think (He's used Sonors since working with King Diamond at least).
