These are people who had natural diets and home cooked meals throughout the course of their life, did not typically sustain themselves off fast food like we do today or rely on processed goods with preservatives and other toxic chemicals in them. Even with modern medicine I feel like we may not be able to live as long as some of these people.

It is just amazing she has seen all these events unfold.... We have people who are just around 20-30 years of age who think the world is gonna end. I think we could learn a lot from this woman.

The sorts of additives they were using 60 years ago were often absolutely horrendous, as were the medical practices of the day. Its no accident that the life expectancy in the west is higher than it has ever been and is still rising. The 'good old days' don't exist.
