Dread Central has learned exclusively that the director of the original film, Danny Boyle, is planning to return to direct the as of yet untitled third film in the franchise. Details are scant at the moment, but we're working to get some more for you.
http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/40278/exclusive-danny-boyle-directing-next-28-days-later-sequel holy fuck yes.
I heard about this ages ago. And last I had heard about this movie a few weeks back, there was some problems that were preventing this from even being made right now. I can't find the link to where I heard that though.
I've heard this before. Good to know. I fucking hated 28 Weeks Later.
I've heard this before. Good to know. I fucking hated 28 Weeks Later.
I hated it because they were killing our British Allies Hopefully this will take in North korea,Zombie Films taking in the west is getting boring for me
This should be good.
Is it going to follow the same name pattern and go with 28 Months Later? At the end of 28 days later all of the zombies were unnourished and dying, even if the [sp]outbreak spread they got firebombed[/sp] in the second..wondering how this will play out
Well the outbreak spread to Paris so that's whole Europe dead or abandoned then, considering it's a region with not that much distance between large cities. If they couldn't stop it properly on an island, doubt they could stop it properly there either. Worst luck, the whole old world is gone.
I'm going to guess that it's 28 months later and all of Europe, Asia and Africa got fucked. The Americans and Mexicans are going to come over, get eaten a bit, send some zombies back to America and then the whole world dies. In the 4th sequel, 28 years later, it turns out some people managed to get into space and land on the moon and mars and make small colonies. Now their worst fears have been realised when the zombies become self aware and start making virus cannons that can shoot the zombie plague into space. Then the moon colony and mars colonies are all like "Eurgh we're getting eaten". Then, in the 5th sequel, 28 decades later, only zombie kind is left and with nothing but each other left to eat, they finally realise they're going to have to expand. And since they're zombies (all be it zombies who can die of malnutrition, but they're at least a bit more resilient than humans) they just load themselves up into space ships in search of foreign life on other planets. Meanwhile in another part of the galaxy, Von Neumann activity is on the rise, and when they discover foreign vessels approaching, they can't wait to learn about the contents, so they set off to greet the vessels... to be continued

Never seen 28 Months Later. Any good?
Never seen 28 Months Later. Any good?
Me neither, can't wait for it the actually scripted first.
Now all they have to do is drop the action movie shit that the sequel had, go back to the suspenseful, dramatic real horror of the first one and we'll be set.
I wonder how this one'll turn out? Given the rate at which it spreads, wouldn't Rage take out pretty much all of Europe within a matter of months? (quite a bit less than 28 by my reckoning, anyway)
I didn't like 28 weeks later as much because everyone chose to do really stupid actions that no one in their right minds would do in real life.
My only gripe with 28 weeks later was some decisions by the characters. For instance [sp]the guy INSISTING on seeing his infected wife even after being explicitly told not to. Not to mention the kids traveling through an infected city to retrieve some things?[/sp] Mind you, I still enjoyed it, despite its flaws.

I know he has a key to everywhere in that area, but did his key really need to work to get in there?
Also locking hundreds of people in a dark room with only two exits and not putting solid locks/barricades on the door.
but we don't need another one! [editline]12:23PM[/editline]
My only gripe with 28 weeks later was some decisions by the characters. In space (just like every franchise that made it this far).
28 millennia later...
if this was a real life sitch, you'd be like "zombies? no such thing. shes probably fine" and go see her anyway.
Except that he saw his entire nation get overrun by "zombies", so unless he somehow forgot that I don't see how it was a realistic or smart decision at all.
The first film was excellent, I despised the second. This looks to be good.

awesome i like the series anyways
I found the first movie to be painfully boring, I can't really pin it on any one thing however.
One thing I didn't like about the first film was the part that took place in the mansion, sure it was nice to get the idea that "humans are as bad as zombies" type thing, but It was stupid that the main character ran around naked for half and hour and didn't get killed by anything. Would've prefered more of a zombie-esque hold out situation towards the end, rather then the chessy happy sort of ending. Although 28 Weeks Later was much much worse, alot of action sure but it was so mind-blowingly dumb, the fact that people were so easily allowed in proximity of the infected of course something bad will happen, it just seemed they had no clear measures in place to prevent an outbreak when clearly that should be first priority. Glad Boyle is back on top of this though.
if you thought the ending of 28 days later was bad, you shoulda seen how it was originally gonna end!

She was immune but the virus was still inside her body so when he made contact with her (the kiss) the virus went into his mouth and he basically fucked up everything. [editline]13th October 2010[/editline] I agree with most people in this thread, I fucking hated the first movie.
wait wait WAIT you hated the FIRST movie? what the fuck? surely you mean the second right? 28 weeks?
Nope, the first, something about it just made me dislike it (28 Days Later) Maybe I should rewatch it but the first time I watched it I hated it.
