Also, Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare! Beware this horrific game!

Favorite part was the techno beat at around 5:00
Aww, the guy brings up good points and that woman laughs. :(
Looks like those people can't come into terms that society is failing, and trying to shift blame into video games.
Studies pulled out of your ass are the best kind. Any conspiracy theorist will tell you that the American government is well within it's power to monitor 130 thousand children worldwide and accurately test which ones are less empathetic.
The magazine editor clearly had the upper hand in the development of his argument. The woman made a point how she clearly is against anything violent yet she never criticized the film industry. The other man, while I disagree with him, made some clear points and he seemed pretty open minded. He clearly showed interest in coming towards some sort of agreement while the other woman was flat out against the idea of a video game.
As the editor said, the games shouldn't be in the hands of children in the first place and it is up to parents to become involved and informed.
Of course you shouldnt let your kids play these games! You should let your Teenagers play these games!

I also found this "study" hilarious. 130 thousand children were monitored? Hell this thing must have been incredibly controlled. Besides if those 130 thousand showed enough development of anger and psychological trauma as the woman described, then what of the millions of people that bought MW2. I suppose everyone is out there beating people up, involved in domestic abuse, becoming socially unacceptable, having random shootouts, and the like. Honestly there couldn't be more bullshit in what she said.
Bad Parenting causes the children to be violent, not video games.
Because it's not like children have never tried to imitate television or films. I mean the greatest example is where children try to replicate something like wrestling (is wrestling still around?), and one of them ends up with a broken arm or something after jumping out of a window because it looked cool on television. It's what we do. We see something cool we want to try it. I don't really think this is the case with video games, as they don't really have anything try worthy with it. I mean isn't like I am going to go around with a crowbar hitting people over the head like a robot because it looked cool in Half Life. Sure I bet there are some people out there who have an addiction to video games, and I am sure there are people out there who try and imitate video games, but that doesn't mean every video game should be ridiculed. I mean for fuck sake I've been playing Picross 3D on my DS, obviously it promotes the violence and destruction of boxes, I have the strange urge to crush a box every time I see it, or paint it in the hope it can now hold Alan Titchmarsh's fat ass because it's indestructible. Every entertainment form has their downfalls, and there will always be people who try and imitate everything. You can't do anything to those stupid few who do injure/kill themselves trying to do something, and even if you could it would probably be better to just leave them.
Oh and way to go avoiding Tim's points.
It wasn't that bad. The one from Fox on Modern Warfare 2 was much worse.
So all those times I got into fights as a young kid were caused by video games? Shit, and to think I was under the impression that getting bullied every day of my life was the cause...
1 and half star rated. Trolls. Yeaaaah.
Heh violence was born before video games came along, but I guess you could say video games to others that they promote violence, but all it is, just stupid fun, I laugh at all the violence in the video games, because none of it is real, if it happened in real life, it's something different. Only 4chan would laugh though.
I'd imagine the people who watch the Alan Titchmarsh show to be the kind of person to believe this. Don't know why, he just seems like that kind of person.

Lol, the guy defending us... at about 2:00 you could just see him thinking "Oh god, here comes the ignorance"

I hate the way people bend statistics like that.
"People who play video games excessively get into fights because of video games"
No, it's more like
"People who get into fights excessively play video games to escape their harsh realities."
It's just like when there's a school shootout and they go "HOLY SHIT HE WAS PLAYING VIDEO GAMES!". Well maybe you should look at the millions of other people who didn't shoot up a school, despite playing the same amount of video games or more.

They seemed to do rather well at ignoring that point.
It's all about different generations, when rock music was first introduced all the old poeple were saying the same thing that it promotes violence, then with violent fims and now games.
The old poeple are old.

Yes but the young people who liked rock music are now the old people who dislike video games.
Similarly, when we're all 70+, we'll be defending video games, and slagging off whatever new thing came along.
That was VERY annoying how everyone clapped after an anti-video game claim.
