• Hacker reveals 4 US Senators might be (read: probably are) affiliated with the KKK
Anonymous has named four US State Senators in a list of public officials allegedly affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan. Five mayors from towns in southern states were also named as part of the ongoing Operation KKK, which aims to expose the identities of up to 1,000 members of the white supremacist group. The names of the politicians have emerged at the same time as contact details were published that Anonymous claims belong to members of the KKK. 57 phone numbers and 24 emails were released by the group, alongside the message: "There is no place for racism now we're more connected, the time to cooperate and better the world is now." ... The hacker claims to not be a part of Anonymous, only a supporter of the group's #OpKKK. Amped Attacks revealed to IBTimes UK that the email addresses of the Senators were found in databases held by several KKK sites: "All I can really say without fully admitting to federal charges is that several databases were dumped from different KKK websites that all linked their emails to the politicians in question and the only way their emails would have been on there to begin with is if they showed support when signing up for [the site] or filled out an application." And this surprises no one.
Where's Mark Wahlberg when you need him
Including openly gay mayor Jim Gray. I never knew the klan supported LGBT people.... Yeah, I'm not buying that any of the names released are actually KKK members until there is more evidence.
meme mask exposes that small town mayors in the south are racist by claims of meme mask group with agenda to deface people they dont like
Well now some interesting background checks by the FBI will occur right...?
Well now some interesting background checks by the FBI will occur right...?
Why would the FBI be investigating the people being targeted? Being in the KKK isn't a crime.
Something's not right. There were a couple members of Congress that were labeled in this release, none of them have a voting history of racism, however. A number of them opposed it also. I want to see proof that they're KKK affiliated before we damn them.
Including openly gay mayor Jim Gray. I never knew the klan supported LGBT people.... Yeah, I'm not buying that any of the names released are actually KKK members until there is more evidence.
I think a bunch of KKK chapters are more inclusive these days or something. There's much fewer openly racist people around, so they have to take what they can get probably.
Senators Accused: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Isakson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Coats https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Cornyn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thom_Tillis Mayors Accused: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madeline_Rogero https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Gray_%28American_politician%29 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_D._Fraim https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#safe=off&q=Kent+Guinn https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#safe=off&q=Tom+Henry This seems like a huge accusation to levy unless you have dead solid proof, and I've yet to see solid proof yet.
Including openly gay mayor Jim Gray. I never knew the klan supported LGBT people.... I remember hearing pretty recently that they are much more forgiving with who they allow to enter now
Including openly gay mayor Jim Gray. I never knew the klan supported LGBT people.... When you guys said gays in the Klan, this was the first thing to come to mind.
Why would the FBI be investigating the people being targeted? Being in the KKK isn't a crime.
The KKK is a known terrorist organization.
The KKK is a known terrorist organization.
But association with the KKK is protected under the first amendment. I'm not saying it's right, but these men have comitted no (alleged) crime, and investigation into their personal lives for unconfirmed KKK association is no less immoral than the investigation into people that tweet #BlackPanthers for mere association. In fact, like it or not, the ONLY people in violation of US law are the hackers who leaked this, and in all likelihood, they are the ones the FBI will be looking into.
The KKK is a known terrorist organization.
Is it still, though? They haven't committed any crimes that I'm aware of in quite a while
Oh my a Senator from Indiana. What a surprise.
John Cornyn a KKK member? Yeah, this is bullshit. Could be that past relatives at one point were members.
John Cornyn a KKK member? Yeah, this is bullshit. Could be that past relatives at one point were members.
John Cornyn's the one that surprises you? Jim Gray is what makes me think this is fabricated - Cornyn's half believable to me.
John Cornyn's the one that surprises you? Jim Gray is what makes me think this is fabricated - Cornyn's half believable to me.
What makes it half believable?
What makes it half believable?
Oops - I was mistaking him with John Carter, another Texas politician who used to be my rep. I'm not a fan of him - awful on gay rights and prison reform of any kind. Cornyn's actually been pretty outspoken against revisiting the Voting Rights Act, he's hugely proud of a number of bipartisan bills, and he doesn't seem to be racist based on his voting record at all.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/trending/anonymous-begins-outing-alleged-kkk-members-4-us-senators-5-mayors-1.3300572 Apparently this was a mistake. How it was a mistake is beyond me.
I think a bunch of KKK chapters are more inclusive these days or something. There's much fewer openly racist people around, so they have to take what they can get probably.
"We just like the uniform, nowadays we just do charity work and even help out black people". If you're in the KKK you're probably racist.

just 4?
"Probably are" Lmao You're giving these people way too much credit or you're really out of touch if you think anonymous and etc. are really ~~protectors of the proletariat~~~ and not speds spewing bullshit 90% of the time.
"Probably are" Lmao You're giving these people way too much credit or you're really out of touch if you think anonymous and etc. are really ~~protectors of the proletariat~~~ and not speds spewing bullshit 90% of the time.
Well, first, like the article says this wasn't anonymous. Secondly, I was going off of the article, which said "the only reason the emails would be there is if they signed up or had membership". Thirdly, it's since been shown to be probably incorrect, as stated by anyonymous itself. So great job reading? Thanks for shooting the messenger?
Anonymous is a joke. They are just a bunch of script kiddies and Occupy Wall Street-type folks at this point.
