As pretty much everyone knows, today, June 6, marks the 66 anniversary of the invasion of Normandy, France, also known as D-Day. June 6, 1944 is the turning point of World War II for most people. This day, I would like to honor all the men and women who serve to protect the United States and the world. I have had family fight over seas before, my grandpa in Vietnam and my uncle in Desert Storm. For all troops reading this, thank you.

I think there's another thread on this bro.
but it's united states troops, so it's not really our troops now is it? it's yours
what about diehard germans
I like your intention.
Carry on.
we honor the allied troops, and our troops includes the French, Germans, and everyone we fought against too

In nomeni patri et fili spiritus sancti.
Thank you. It is very kind of you to say that, I appreciate your message. If possible, tell the veterans in your family thank you for what they did. (I'm active duty USAF)
Sorry, did not see the other thread until now.

Clarus non es.
another thread about america, IT WAS CALLED 'WORLD' WAR 2 HOLY FUCK
I see no place where the OP says this is about America. He is just from America so the members of the armed service he knew are from America in wars America fought in.
Semper Fi, I'll be in Afghanistan by November.

Haha, maybe for Americans who think we won WW2 by ourselves.
Learn2Stalingrad.
Can't really remember learning about this day.
Ohwell. v:v:v
i believe that honoring troops is extremely important.
I love our troops. Most of them are guys younger than me, shipped halfway across the world for a war most don't even understand. Assuming they acted honorably during their tour of duty, I always thank a vet when I meet one.
Now, the reason they were shipped over, I do not love.
By Granpa was in Nam' and my dad was in Iraqi Freedom. I have no idea why I just told you guys this, but oh well.
It was actually Sweden's National day yesterday, so I kinda celebrated.

Right now, people would get killed :(

Because the communists were the only ones that fought and they single handedly bit the fascists pig dog's heads off and then freed all the oppressed people in the world while saving some kittens from trees.
Also Stalin shat out a rainbow.
