Sorry but I'm terrible at documenting my stuff, I kinda just start and then decide to document my process but here are some pics I took while working!
It started as a clay sculpt which I vac-formed over. Then I attached the mohawk piece and slowly began bondoing it together.

As for space you can get a lot done in just a chair and a desk, but you're right supply costs is usually what halts my projects (out of funds to get dp helmet chromed)

This is beautiful. The dirty look to the paint sells the effect so much.
Sweet! I like the Daft Punk helmet too. Here's a stupid question. Is there a way to make something like this without investing in what I'm assuming is a huge vacuum forming machine? Are there places you can bring a model, pay a fee, and they'll vac-form it for you?
vacuum forming is pretty cheap, all you need is an oven, and a vacuum cleaner.
You can build your own vacuum former for under 40 dollars (that's what I did)
but usually plastic stores have vac-formers or your local university should have it too
