I am terrified of spiders. Not so much the spiders themselves, but the fact that they have the element of surprise, that they just seem to jump out of nowhere and gallop across your floor when you least expect it. And now it's September, which means the weather is getting colder, and more and more spiders are moving into houses where it's warmer. There is not a single room in my house now that doesn't have at least one huge spider in it at any given time. I'm scared to open the curtains in my room in case one or more of the bastards just happens to be lurking behind them.
Anyone else in the same boat here? Any amusing/terrifying spider anecdotes?

That's actually bullshit. I think that it was some person who wrote an article about how people will believe anything they hear or something like that, and they dropped that "fact" in there to see how many people would believe it.

No it's a myth, I heard spiders don't really like walking on your body, and if they do, they will not crawl into your mouth because they get scared from your breath
spiders eat annoying buzzy flies. as long as it's not a poisonous spider it's welcome to chill out around my house.

There's a whole bunch of bird-eating spiders (tarantulas), however as far as I know, the spider pictured isn't a tarantula.
Still pretty mental to see any spider trap something that big though.
I wish a spider would climb into my room and web out the words "Some Pig."

Do you really think Spiders are dumb enough to crawl into what is a giantic, slimey, roaring behemoth with a storm coming out of his mouth for them without getting the instinct to flee? That "oh god spidaz crawl into ma mouz" thing is total bullshit.
Luckily in the country where I live they can only grow up to be 1 inch (total size, not body size)
