I recently met a graffiti artist from Belgium who took a trip to the US just to do graffiti. I am not condoning or encouraging vandalism, but rather spoke with this individual to get an inside perspective and better understanding of the controversial movement.

Graffiti is not necessarily vandalism. And a lot of the time, even when it is, it makes the building look better if done correctly.
There is a street in my town that is dedicated to graffiti artists. There is even a 50ft tall man on a building, it's beautiful.

I completely agree. This guy REVES mostly does legal graffiti works where he is hired to do large pieces like that.
