The listing, which has since been pulled down, featured a US price of $349 (£215) for the 16GB version of the Nexus 5. The Nexus 5 is expected to replace the popular Nexus 4 Android smartphone, which was the work of a partnership between LG and Google to make a high-end smartphone at an affordable price. Official product shots of the Nexus 5 were also included, confirming a series of leaks and rumours that have surfaced within the last few months, including the replacement of the default Android SMS app with Google Hangouts, and a redesigned Gmail icon.
Google Nexus 5 Google Nexus 5 Google Play Store listing.
I still have not forgotten the german Nexus 4 launch. Shit was crazy.
I'm confused, what happened?
I love my Nexus 4. So no point in upgrading now. Still, I can safely say I will always look for a Nexus phone before I look for anything else from now on. It is fucking amazing. Simple as that.
I'm confused, what happened?
No set release time. Everyone F5ing. Servers crash during checkout. Some orders go through, most don't. All sold out in 20 mins (Nexus 4 + 7 + 10).

Can't wait for it to retail in NZ for twice the Play Store price.
It looks nice, and I'd go for it if I didn't have my n4

Whatever happened to Google having a Galaxy S4 Google variant which was fully unlocked? Was that just a rumor or...?

That's my Nexus 4 getting launched out the window.
God this galaxy note 1 is so shit i can't wait to finally get a nexus phone
LG make such nice looking phones. I've been quite happy with my Nexus 4 (that price drop was perfectly timed for me). I expect the 5 to be a very nice piece of hardware, hopefully they actually put something on the CPU to cool it this time.
lg is terrible at software but tends to have pretty decent hardware google owns at hardware lg phone -- lg software + google software = awesome phone
LG's hardware (not the components but the build quality) is generally on the level of Samsung's cheap plastic builds, I think that the reason the Nexus 4 was so good was mostly because of Google's involvement. If you look at the G2, it's got a very interesting design and superb specs but the materials are still glossy shit whereas the Nexus 5 looks to have a matte finish.
I just want a phone with a screen in the 4" to 4.3" range, decent amount of internal storage, a MicroSD-card slot for ample storage opportunities, slide-out qwerty keyboard, and that doesn't sport just a dualcore SoC from yesteryears mid-range phones but sold at a premium comparable to the current top-end phones. I'm a neglected minority
Apparently a 32GB version will also be announced for $399, and maybe a white version as well.
