It seems that Orgrim Doomhammer [sp]isn't a fan of bad PCs[/sp].
That's one tough skateboard.
What a nice guy.

*as long as your bottleneck isn't actually your GPU.

Funny because world of warcraft is pretty shit at taking advantage of your CPU. You'll be in a battleground/raid group with like 40 players and the game's FPS will drop heavily while most of your cores remain unused. edit: huh, actually, I loaded up the game and it actually does utilize them now. Apparently they've tweaked the engine over the years so yeah discard what I said

Movies can use a lot of cpu.
Why would rendering 40 characters have anything to do with your CPU.
There's plenty being done on it, if I manually restrict the game to one core it'll half my FPS when in a raid. Not quite so when just in the middle of nowhere
why the fuck would i get a new PC if my shitty CPU could spawn an animated orc, that shit's radashell
would be great with the tony hawk combo/score thing appearing at the bottom
fine.
Why would rendering 40 characters have anything to do with your CPU.
It's less important for non AI driven characters, but you're still calculating a huge lot about positioning, traversal, abilities on each other and a lot of other stuff which tends to be very CPU heavy. In a lot of ways, if your optimisation is good, it might not even be a noticeable hit on your GPU.
